Does it really matter. You won't be paying £25 for it so that's good.

I've never seen The Legend of Seven Golden Vampires so I'll be going to pre-order that one right away, gap in my Hammer collection!

Good point, but I didn't pay anywhere near £25 for Indicator's Hammer releases if you divided the boxsets down to individual titles and you can get them as individual releases now at 3 for £20 and they are loaded with extras.

I think they could have given us at least an audio commentary with Jonathan Rigby and the price point wouldn't have changed by that much.

Why have Rigby when you can get Ellinger?

nothing against Ellinger once I got used to her accent. She's very strong on Gothic literary influences - it'll be interesting to see her join the dots with this being a Hong Kong co-production and a bit removed from traditional English gothic...

...but I do like a bit of Rigby on a Hammer release. Ah well, at least it's a UK release... I wonder who they licensed it from? I thought it was a Warner title in the UK?

There isn'y even the "story of" narrated by Peter Cushing that appears on the Anchor Bay release (which I'm still hanging on to). I can't find any info about any remastering of this film. Who did it? From what? It's odd that anyone, today, would make such a bare bones release of a Hammer film.

These are the extras on the Scream Factory release:

NEW 2K Scan Of The Original Film Elements
NEW Audio Commentary With Author/Film Historian Bruce G. Hallenbeck
NEW When Hammer Met Shaw – An Interview With Actor David Chiang
NEW Kung Fear – An Interview With Hong Kong Film Expert Rick Baker
Alternate U.S. Theatrical Version – The 7 Brothers Meet Dracula (In HD With Some Standard Definition Inserts)
Theatrical Trailers
TV Spot
Still Gallery

I expect the transfer will be the same but I expect Hammer fans will feel the extras are disappointing in comparison.
