There was a very funny letter in Sight & Sound shortly after Eyes Wide Shut came out that asked why Stanley Kubrick needed years to make it when Jean Rollin managed to make something really startlingly similar in a fortnight.

I just watched my DVD of Single White Female a few months ago I love a 90s thriller. Will probably pre-order this one.

I've never seen Bruiser, will probably also pick it up for the Romero collection.

One thing that really leaped out at me when working on the Blu-ray is how surprisingly obvious it is that the same cinematographer shot Suspiria and Single White Female. The latter doesn't go to quite the same ultra-stylised lengths, of course, but it's still clearly the same eye.

When i finally got round to seeing Bruiser, after years of hearing it wasn't very good, i really enjoyed it.

I'm not saying it's a day one purchase for me but i'll definitely be getting this nice shiny limited edition release.

The interview with Dr. Chud should be fun. I think i'm the only person in the world who preferred Graves era Misfits, which Chud played in, to the classic Danzig era.

Single White Female as well. Love all these thrillers from the time. I saw it at the cinema and thought it was great. Used to have it on vhs but never on dvd. They really don't make them like that anymore. More's the pity.

It says on the Powerhouse website:
"Please note that UNTOUCHED will only be receiving a release in the US and Canada, since the BBFC have requested cuts to the film for UK distribution. It is our belief that, from the perspective of film heritage and preservation, it is best to present this, and all of our titles, as they were originally intended to be screened."
Apparently it is due to scenes of animal cruelty

The person showing their jaw and nose reminds me of Clive Brook.

However the size of the person suggests perhaps a female.

Apparently both THE PIRATES OF BLOOD RIVER and THE SCARLET BLADE are going to be released as standard editions on July 22

I wonder if the other titles in the HAMMER VOLUME FIVE: DEATH & DECEIT set - Visa To Canton and The Brigand Of Kandahar - are going to be released as well
