Well I'd describe it as mediocre rather than bad. As you say, The Swarm is more entertaining, but it is often cited as Caine's worst film.

Beyond the Poseiden Adventure is pretty rubbish too...

I've seen all 4 michael Caine films and my nomination goes to The Swarm for worst picture.

As a matter if fact it's impossible to make a remotely good movie about killer bees!

The Deadly Bees (1966)
Killer Bees (1974)
The Savage Bees (1976)
The Bees (1978)
The Swarm (1978)
Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare (1995)

Agreed! But which is the best? I think The Bees with John Saxon is a riot. Bad? Yes, but in a good way

I've always liked The Deadly Bees. Had that on dvd and also upgraded to Blu.

There once was a time when ant and bee movies were often on tv, i certainly saw many in my childhood, but i've barely owned any on dvd and Blu. I'd like more but they don't seem to get releases over here.

Which is odd, because today they're especially relevant, with the bees being in real trouble and the swarms of giant asian hornets (ok, they're bee-adjacent) making trouble around the world -- last Summer my wife was stung in the face by one while we were on vacation (in Portugal) and I tell you, it was a real horror movie...

"Dare you enter the house of infernal desires and ritualistic murder?

It's diabolical hi-jinks, gory thrills and devil dolls abound in this essential Euro-horror entry from post-Francoist Spain! I?m definitely a fan of crazy Spanish horror films. This one is particularly bonkers haha. Why would they even go back to their house with them when they don?t even remember how they?re supposed to know them haha.
