Yep Scorpion is also going with a female wrestler for their upcoming releases...

Here's more info on some of the upcoming double bills (big thanks to Matthew David!):

"CUT THROATS NINE (90min)
A band of cutthroat chain gang prisoners are chained together and on the loose as they play cat and mouse with each other in this violent and gritty Spanish thriller. Greed and Gold is the name of the game in this 1972 box office flop that eventually gained a cult following. Distributor Seafirm Kalalexis picked up the film several years later and re-shot some gory violence as a gimmick to bring in the audiences on 42nd Street. Another crazy gimmick they implemented was by distributing actual cardboard masks to theaters to be given out to the paying audience to wear so that they could avoid watching any of the violent scenes! The gimmick was a faliure, to say the least, but thanks to today's youthful audiences, the film has now gained a cult following thanks to Kalalexis' added scenes. Code Red and Seafirm Kalalexis are proud to bring you, for the first time, the gory classic in its first authorized DVD release in the USA!

JOSHUA (90min)
Also included, as a 2nd feature, is JOSHUA with Fred Williamson. A band of dirty outlaws kidnap a rancher's young wife and kill the maid. Little did they know that the maid was Joshua's (Williamson) mother. Now the vengeance-filled rancher orders Joshua to find the outlaws and kill them one by one."

"BLADE (90min)
First one features an all-star cast including John Marley as a rogue cop named BLADE who is trying to solve the murder of a congressman's (William Prince, THE SOLDIER) daughter. A cold calculated killer (Jon Cypher, SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION) is playing a cat and mouse game with the police. Co-starring Joe Santos (TV's ROCKFORD FILES), John Schuck, Steve Landesburg (TV's BARNEY MILLER), Keene Curtis (ALICE), Michael McGuire (PARTNERS), Ted Lange (TV's LOVE BOAT), and Morgan Freeman (TV's SESAME STREET). This is shown un-cut for the first time ever on US home video!

RING OF DEATH (90min)
2nd feature is RING OF DEATH! Franco Nero (DJANGO) plays a detective hired by Adolfo Celi (THUNDERBALL) in this mystery crime thriller. Co-starring Florinda Bolkan (LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN), Delia Boccardo (TENTACLES), and funny man Renzo Palmer!"

"DOUBLE DOSE OF MAFIA & MARTIAL ARTS. First feature is GODFATHER SQUAD! Released by Cannon Pictures in 1977, this action film features Bruce Leung (Siu-Lung Leung) as a martial arts action hero who the mob wants dead for interfering on an assassination by kicking a dynamite dog! Shirley Corrigan, Gordon Mitchell (HERCULES fame), and Yasuaki Kurata (BLOODFIGHT) co-star in this kung-fu spaghetti action flick with some creative death scenes. 2nd feature is a lost film! What happens when people are out of ideas and product to sell at the film markets? They put together pieces of several kung-fu films with Bruce Le (Lu Chien Lung) and call it BRUCE'S LAST BATTLE. We see Bruce killed by FIVE FINGERS OF DEATH's Lo Lieh all over again! Bruce fights villain after villain as the ever-changing plot never stops in this non-stop madness! Shelved for years by 21st Century Distribution, madman Tom Ward has finally let it loose to make its home video debut! Invite your friends over, get drunk, and try to figure out what stock footage shot is from which other movie! Great fun for kung-fu freaks!!"

And here's a review of the recently released Brute Corps:

The UK release of The Killer Likes Candy had one of the best covers I have ever seen. It was through the 'scope of a rifle and and you could see someone getting their brains blown out!

That's the vhs artwork right?

Btw I was wondering if cult labbers would like to take some pics of their CR collections?
Would be really interesting to see what you have as there's so many different CR releases to collect.

Yes, the old UK pre-cert on the VTI label. You really have to see it to believe it. Ther's no way it would get used now with the VPRC. I'm pretty sure that there was more releases with different companies, but the VTI one is the one to get (If you could ever find it!).

So with all these new titles coming up, is it safe to assume that CR are no longer shutting up shop? Or is this one last hurrah?

Was Code Red's Rituals a limited edition or something? I can only find it through Amazon US's Marketplace (and I cannot afford the international p+p). Should have got it sooner.

Time to extend my search beyond the comfort zone of Amazon, I suppose...

Edit: Good old Axel! And 65p is far preferable P+P cost!

Yep Amazon isn't carrying it (for some unknown reason) but several other webshops have it,amongst them Axel.
It was out of stock everywhere for a while but CR repressed it (should be the last time they repress btw).
