there will always be the people who buy the special and numbered edition of band X's album, with the special cover and the booklet and the colored vinyl and the thingamabob inside, and then there will always be the people who just buy the regular edition.

the music is the same.

there are those who buy the car with the special color paint and the heated seats and the whatevers. and those who just want the basic car without any bells and whisles.

it's the same car. it takes you from A to B.

I can go on boring you with so many more examples. why do people buy special, more expensive editions of anything? films and blurays are not different.

would I prefer that this release was less expensive? sure. would I rather have a cheaper and separate release for 4K and blu-ray? you bet. unfortunately there isn't one. maybe this is something that eventually can be discussed with them for future releases and hopefully they'll listen. or maybe the sales will take care of the issue.

Wouldn't be so bad if there was a regular edition.

Same here, i just want a regular edition to enjoy the movie, ?50 is not a price i'd pay for this when other companies are releasing special edition titles with a good selection of added extra's for half the price, i do like the odd ltd edition purchase of a certain fave title but jus regular editions are just as good

I love Hammer House Of Horror. Like all series, there are some episodes better than others, but the hits are much more than the misses for me.
I bought the original Network Blu Ray set, which came with a limited edition glossy reprint of one of the original scripts. I got The Mark Of Satan.
I miss Network !

I'm hoping for a standard 2-disc UHD edition to come down the line, but watching an unboxing video, the set is quite impressive and I am tempted, it's just too big though

I don't actually rate that film much. It's a bonus feature on one of the Icon Blu's.

I wouldn't buy it for $20 never mind the fifty they'll be asking.
