I know what you mean, as someone at work told me the news yesterday and I was very surprised that it could have done more box office than some of the more 'established' genre high points, especially so soon. I think 'highest grossing UK horror' sounds more likely.

Either way, this is fantastic news for the future of Hammer!

Oi! Dracula AD 1972 is one of my favourite Hammer films! So yes, learn from the past, Woman in Black AD 2012 would be most welcome.

Its the highest grossing horror film in the UK ever!

However the system for recording such data has only been in effect for twenty years.

meh, I always thought hammer flogged that paticular dead horse WAY too much. I understand any studios desire to capitalise on success but sometimes its good to end things while on top imo.
