That's not entirely accurate. I've contacted BU this year with some questions about some of the past AB Hammer titles and stories people have posted online about who owns what. As a specific example, I was told to contact AB about getting a special edition of DRACULA, PRINCE OF DARKNESS, as AB owns the rights for it. It truly seems that the Hammer titles are floating in space and due to poor sales in the US for AB, no one wants to touch them.

It'd probably be easier to hassle Anolis, haha! I wonder if Studio Canal/Lionsgate now have the rights to the last batch of ABUS Hammer titles. They're not available as dvd-r's so it seems like ABUS don't have them. Admittedly there are some weaker titles in there but Blood From The Mummy's Tomb and Scars Of Dracula were part of that lot.

Looks like the recent Sony dvd's that were only available at Moviemail for a while are about to go on general release and for a lot cheaper.

The Gorgon (1964) - DVDs at Play.com (UK)

Taste Of Fear (1961) - DVDs at Play.com (UK)

The Two Faces Of Dr. Jekyll (1960) - DVDs at Play.com (UK)

If only we could see a release of Satanic Rites of Dracula in a good quality anamorphic and uncut version.

I've already mentioned this on the Suggested Arrow Titles thread, but I'll let everyone here know that The Satanic Rites of Dracula will be released on DVD in the UK next year, according to Hammer's website.

I really liked this one from HAMMER, it was so different from most of their other films, and really stood out. It was a very distinctive HAMMER film, which featured some interesting performances, and a great cast.
Did you notice the brief appearance by Annie Ross, of BASKETCASE 2 & 3 fame?...
I enjoyed FEAR IN THE NIGHT too, starring an ageing Peter Cushing as a Headmaster of a top school, that was mysteriously closed down. look out for this one, as its a very enjoyable little film...

That has immediately gone to the top of the to-buy list!

Glad they decided to go Blu because Don May seemed to be wavering slightly at one point from his posts at AV Maniacs.
