they've said many times on FB its because Jackson himself is restoring the films so they won't be available until they are completed... however, that's been going on for years now. how long does it take to do some despeckling on 3 cheapjack kiwi movies ?

Perhaps he's spent the last 3 years touching up the aliens arses in Bad Taste.

Lol, thanks, I'm not on fb so haven't seen that, interesting if he is restoring them, they have (or had) a big following in the vhs days here in the uk, though not sure how much they would sell now. Current movie goers seem to have short memories & don't go back much beyond what was in the multiplex 4 months ago. I know people who don't remember the Sam Raimi spiderman movies!
