Too many re-releases for my taste. I suspect Death Has Blue Eyes will be entertainingly crap  and the reverse artwork is cool so I'll get that.

Blue Eyes looks fun, possibly clapboard too... not fussed about Switchblade. Battle Royale is obviously a great film but after the dvd, arrowdrome dvd, windowcase blu, SE blu, regular blu and steelbook blu... do we really need this? I suppose I'd get it if I didnt have it already. And what is the deal with Mastorakis? My guess is that the avalanche of releases is for finance-related rather than quality-related reasons. His films are just ok, fun for a bit but nothing special. To be fair, re-releases are inevitable in the current market. The Prowler or My Bloody Valentine would have been great, but that sort or release is highly unlikely these days from Arrow. Reckon something like The Prowler wouldnturn up on Eureka nearer Halloween. I'd love Arrow to put out similar releases to Vinegar Syndrome. Theres loads of hilarious tat out there primed for the turd-polishing services at Arrow but they're not what they were. It's either ultra mainstream (Crimson Peak, Tremors, Robocop) or blind-buying obscenities (Black Car etc). They need a middle way... The Prowler would have been the sweet spot. |

I've so many different releases of Battle Royale but would be tempted by the 4K release if the AV quality was up to snuff and the price wasn't too extortionate. Conversely, I'm quite pleased about the Donnie Darko 4K Ultra HD release because I haven't bought the Arrow Video Blu-ray yet. I'll probably bypass it altogether and pick up the new, 4K one!
