The films didn't look too good at all in that set. The fact that they were NTSC to PAL conversions didn't help matters either.

It does make you wonder how they'll look. There's no way several of those films could be restored in the condition they were in.

Hopefully Embodiment of Evil will also be in the set.

I think when asked Synapse said the elements available weren't fit for bluray. Obviously technology has probably moved on since then but maybe Arrow have unearthed better materials?

Anyway, this is where I prefer Arrow to be with their releases rather than the endless re-releases, so good news

Can't wait for Battle Royale: The Coffin Joe Brazilian Cut.

They might do it like the HGL set and put two films on each disc, like an A feature that has a good scan with a B feature that looks a bit ropey. Thinking of Two Thousand Maniacs and Moonshine Mountain as an example.

Personally a Coffin Joe box set doesn't hold much interest to me.

Out of the Anchor Bay set i thought only one or two were really good and i can't for the life of me remember which ones.

I did a little write up on here at the time of watching each one so i could find out. Then there's the fact i've had no desire to revisit them.

For the price Arrow will charge for the ten features it will be a no from me.

Looking back it seems i really liked Hellish Flesh (1977), Awakening of the Beast. (1970) and At Midnight I will take your Soul (1964) as well as the more recent Embodiment of Evil.

A November rewatch seems in order.

I've not seen any of his films to be honest! I'd be unlikely to buy the box set myself but like Rob says it's good for them to be keeping that one foot in the niche market.

The Shocktoberfest is now on at HMV and Zavvi. But not Arrow's own website.

Around 70 items at Zavvi but over 300 at HMV.

Won't be long before Amazon start reducing too.

I popped into HMV earlier it's all stickered up, nothing exciting all the usual stuff at £8 and the newer stuff at £10, newest releases all full price. They had no fanfare about that at all, just in the usual 'Arrow Section'.
