Last night I watched the VHS version of “Don’t Go in the House”, as included in the third disc of the Arrow store exclusive edition. Was pretty good fun! It’s amazing the difference in picture quality between this VHS version and the blu ray version. So dark. Even had some lines of static at a couple of bits. I don’t know if these were added for effect or whatever, but they looked real! I like to think they simply added a scan from a real old VHS tape. All the releases of these old nasties should come with this!

that's why I wanted the three disc edition because what's on the third disc sound far more interesting than any of the special features on disc 1&2' to me the special features are not interesting enough to watch again just find them boring they are a once only watch. as for the tv version never again and why did they need the second disc could have just put all the special features onto disc 1 and not have the 2nd disc at all.

I agree! And not only old nasties -- I'm thinking of films like Zone Troopers where an open matte version exists (I have a file of it), that was used in VHS, but is not in any DVD or Blu-ray edition. It would be a fun version to watch. Wouldn't even need a really high bitrate, so it could be just an extra, instead of a whole disk.

Is it just me, or is anyone annoyed at Arrow releasing Bruce Lee's films individually so soon after the box set? I've preordered Coffin Joe, but might cancel I if they're getting individual releases.

Arrow are a bunch of cowboys, no wonder they put out so many Spaghetti Westerns.

Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the new Limited Edition individual releases are repackaged returned discs from Dingegate.

It looks like Arrow aren't even trying with this one - it's obviously Chucky / 'Child's Play'!

NEW US/CA TITLE: The Day of the Locust (1975) - Limited Edition Blu-ray - $28:00

Release date: December 5

"Academy Award-winner John Schlesinger (Marathon Man) reunites with Midnight Cowboy screenwriter Waldo Salt (Coming Home), a victim of the 1950s McCarthy-era blacklist, to adapt Nathanael West's acid satire of Hollywood decadence and broken dreams.

Painter Tod Hackett (William Atherton, Looking For Mr. Goodbar), working in the art department of a movie studio during the 1930s 'golden age' of Hollywood, falls in unrequited love with aspiring starlet Faye Greener (Karen Black, Five Easy Pieces). He competes for her affections against other men: a pair of cowboys (Bo Hopkins, American Graffiti and Pepe Serna, Scarface), and a forlorn accountant (Donald Sutherland, Invasion of the Body Snatchers). As Faye's career fails to take her beyond roles as an extra, her life becomes increasingly desperate and her relationships with men take a darker turn, reaching fever pitch at a red-carpet movie premiere that explodes into barbaric chaos.

A bitter critique of tinsel-town's empty promises and the lost souls cheated by them, featuring lush, dreamlike cinematography by Conrad Hall (In Cold Blood), and stunning performances by its talented cast, The Day of the Locust remains a relevant and shattering experience."

Release date: December 12

"THESE ARE THE ARMIES OF THE NIGHT.

In 1979, fresh from directing bare knuckle boxing movie Hard Times and supercool crime thriller The Driver, Walter Hill delivered his third stone cold classic in a row: The Warriors, a slam-bang, visually kinetic action movie that mixed a heightened comic-book sensibility with a timeless tale from ancient Greece and set them loose in the streets of modern America.

In New York the gangs outnumber the cops by 5-1. Together, they could rule the city. Gang-leader Cyrus has a dream to do just that and calls a summit. The gangs of New York gather in their thousands, Cyrus takes the stage. From somewhere in the crowd a shot rings out and Cyrus falls down dead. In the chaos that follows, a small gang from Coney Island - the Warriors - are blamed. Now everyone is out to get them. On foot, in enemy territory, can they make it through the night to get back across the city to the safety of home turf?

For all you boppers out there, for all you street people with an ear for the action... the iconic cult classic is back in a brand new 4K restoration approved by director Walter Hill. Can you dig it?"

Release date: December 11

"YOU JUST CAN'T KEEP A GOOD GUY DOWN!

From his very first outing in 1988, Chucky the pint-sized, plastic 'Good Guy' doll has managed to carve out a unique and enduring legacy while trying his (plastic) hand at some truly creative, blood-soaked mayhem!

In Tom Holland (Fright Night)'s Child's Play, a young Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent) receives his very own Good Guy doll. Unluckily for both him and his mother Karen (Catherine Hicks), "Chucky" happens to contain the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), and causes chaos for Andy and those around him, leaving a trail of corpses in his wake. In Child's Play 2, Chucky returns in full mini-monster mode, terrorising Andy further in a sinister game of hide-and-seek. Child's Play 3 sees a teenaged Andy (Justin Whalin) dealing with both military school and a recently resurrected Chucky.

In Ronny Yu's Bride of Chucky, the doll with a killer personality returns and continues his murderous spree alongside his love, Tiffany Valentine (Jennifer Tilly). Series creator Don Mancini makes his directorial debut in Seed of Chucky, where Chucky and Tiffany continue their wicked antics after being resurrected by their living-doll child, Glen (Billy Boyd). Nine years later, Chucky chooses Nica (Fiona Dourif) and her family to torture in Mancini's Curse of Chucky, followed swiftly by Cult of Chucky, in which Nica faces the Good Guy once more with a little help from a grown-up Andy Barclay (Vincent).

Featuring brand new 4K restorations of the sequels with recent cast and crew interviews as well as Kyra Elise Gardner's behind the scenes documentary Living with Chucky, you don't want to miss this toybox of terror from Arrow Video! Wanna play?"

Easy pass for the Chucky 4K set since they weren't allowed to include Child's Play in 4K.
