Default New Arrow Announcements...

I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be something like Shivers or Rabid.

I'd actually welcome an Arrow release of Vdeodrome (as long as it's uncut), but I'd be happy with any of the others too.

UK customers have been shafted with cut releases of both Videodrome and Lord of Illusions. As a consequence they don't get my business on titles such as those.

There's a picture of Bava in the unknown section of the video, so we're getting more from Bava than Rabid Dogs.

That obviously goes without saying. How else would they license and prep it for release if no one knew what it was. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't one of the two already confirmed via social media.

Isn't the problem with Videodrome that it's the R rated version we Brits get (for once not the BBFC) so maybe Arrow could secure an unrated cut and send it off to the BBFC and see what happens?
And what about Crash, that seems an Arrow release just waiting to happen.

The unrated version of Videodrome should have no problems. James Ferman when he was in charge said he would have never cut it and any edits made to any version seen in the UK (both r-rated and the even shorter version) were made pre-submission. Ferman may have been an autocratic nightmare in many respects but even he defended Cronenberg's work. I somehow doubt that a director that can garner favourable reviews from both cult genre fans and the sight and sound crowd would have any worries about support if the BBFC did try to censor his work.
