Default The Arrow Films / Video Thread

Buckaroo Banzai is the definition of a cult film, and it's bloody brilliant. So much so, that you can find references to it in many films and tv shows, including Back To The Future, Fight Club, and Angel.

Back when all I was interested in was "more gore" I tried to watch Buckaroo and turned it off halfway through. I'm a different person now () so might have to give it a go this time around.

Buckaroo Banzai has been a film i've wanted to see for age's as it sounds like the kind of acid trip that I find very, very entertaining.

I also didn't like it when I first watched it. I may give it another go sometime.

I don't see how Buckaroo Banzai could be called 'overrated' when it is so little known.

I remember it being a very popular rental video back in the 80s. Not a fan myself.

That's probably true but, compared to most of the other Arrow releases, Buckaroo Banzai is little known or widely seen.

It was on UK Netflix until recently. I think it is one of those films of a certain time and place. I can't imagine it winning a whole new audience with this release.
