All of the box set titles will be getting individual releases (some of them already have).

Besides JHarker shouldn't be so sniffy about them. He's a lot of fun in The Simpsons.

4 of the titles are out already, I do plan on getting them when they're a bit cheaper. Too pricey for a blind buy at the moment.

Plus, if you haven't actually watched any Fassbinder then you can't 100% say that his films are not for you.
Course not! But they appear to me to be arty farty twaddle and as such there are many many many other films I'd prefer to see first. ☺

All seriousness what genre do these Fassbendy films come under. Am i just a misguided fool? Are they any good? I was seriously surprised to find a few of the new Arrow releases in the horror section at HMV.

Fassbinder makes the type of film that most people(me included) find just too slow and long-winded, but if you're in the mood for a late night coffee fueled different vibe he has made some quality cinema, but for me people like Takeshi Kitano make far more involving films that are much more enjoyable and in some cases just as deep and multi-layered as Fassbinder, I don't think any Fassbinder could be described as belonging to the horror genre either.

(there is a Monty Python sketch satirizing French cinema with two people talking endlessly on top off a rubbish-tip, always made me think of Fassbinder.)

No, Fassbinder's films certainly aren't horror - after all we're talking Arrow Academy releases here.

Fear Eats the Soul at a basic level is a romantic drama concerning an unconventional relationship.
