Back on the fence in terms of buying...
When I heard that the disc would feature a new restoration I was looking forward to seeing it. Unfortunately, having undertaken a little reasearch like yourself, I was disappointed to find that there isn't too much of a difference between the two releases visually. Although I haven't yet opened my copy, but based upon screen comparisons that I've seen, if I already owned the Redemption/Kino disc then I'd probably give the Screenbound disc a miss.

The Screenbound release does apparently feature some special features on the disc though, and you also get a physical copy of the novel that the film was based upon and I think some art cards.

The package alone - glossy thick paper 130 page book, six artcards and a half hour doc make it worthwhile at £9.99 in my opinion.

I was more than happy to pay £14.99 for a preorder for it. Much better value than an Arrow or 88 Films collectors edition.

If anyones interested Classic Films Direct have the new Nucleus releases at £14.99 + £1.50 postage.

That's a fiver cheaper per film than anywhere else if you buy the three together with no postage costs.

If you're prepared to wait, they'll end up much cheaper than that.

I've had some really good bargains from CFD over the years. It is worth signing up to their newsletter and it is usually worth taking a look at the items during their regular sales.
