In an effort to spice things up, his advisor and confidant (Jamie Gillis) creates a contest to find the most titillating women in the Kingdom, and a new consort to the Sultan as well. "This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

Teenage Justine has just learned that her father has died. Upon her arrival, the beautiful though naive Justine soon finds that she is an object of lust to all those she meets, man and woman alike. As she slowly unravels her own sensual desires and transforms from innocent virgin to voluptuous vixen, she begins to feel an unexpected type of emotional stirring: a desire for romance, which might just happen in the unlikeliest of circumstances.

One of director Roberta Findlay's (A Woman's Torment) most elegant erotic films, JUSTINE 'A MATTER OF INNOCENCE' stars Hillary Summers (Star Virgin) in the title role, along side Vanessa Del Rio (The Dancers) and Christine De Shaffer (Pizza Girls). Lavishly photographed by Roberta Findlay, scored by Walter Sear (Dr. Butcher M.D.), and co-written by Cecil Howard (Firestorm), JUSTINE is an erotic delight which makes it’s Blu-ray debut from Vinegar Syndrome, newly restored from its original 35mm camera negative."

'Hard Soap, Hard Soap & Disco Lady' - Pre-order available from Vinegar Syndrome direct - $24.99

"This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome.com!

Acclaimed filmmaker Bob Chinn is best remembered for his detective thrillers, but among his many talents was his ability to craft outrageously funny character driven comedies and tightly structured dramas. Presented here are two of his rarest and most entertaining such films.

In HARD SOAP, HARD SOAP: Penny and Linda are two happy housewives who just can't help but want to solve everyone else's personal problems. But Penny has big problems of her own, namely with her psychiatrist husband, Dr. John Holmes, whose romantic abilities have been unbearably hindered. As Penny and Linda find themselves besieged by a never-ending supply of perverts, weirdos, and other types of misfits they decide it's time to take matters into their own hands to return their lives to idyllic suburban bliss. HARD SOAP, HARD SOAP is an imaginative and original sex-filled satire of soap operas starring Candida Royalle, Laurien Dominique, John Holmes, Joan Devlon, and many more and has been newly restored in 2K.

In Disco Lady: It's Friday night at the hottest disco in town. Everyone who's anyone will be there. But not everything is fun and games, and as the evening's guests arrive, a series of sensual deceptions, twists, and surprises unfold, leading up to a shocking and unexpected conclusion. Effectively combining low key comedy with a thriller oriented structure, DISCO LADY stars Rhonda Jo Petty (Little Orphan Dusty) in her first role, alongside Mike Ranger and Rick Lutze and has been newly restored in 2K by Vinegar Syndrome."

Specs and special features:
  • Directed by: Bob Chinn
  • Starring: Candida Royalle, John Holmes, Laurien Dominique, Joan Devlon, Joey Silvera, Paul Thomas, Rhonda Jo Petty, Ric Lutze, Mike Ranger, Robin Savage
  • 1977-78
  • 134 min (combined)
  • 1.85:1 & 1.33:1
  • Region Free Blu-ray/DVD Combo
  • Newly scanned & restored in 2k from various 16mm and 35mm archival elements
  • Brand new interview with director Bob Chinn
  • Original theatrical trailers for both films

'Hollywood Horror House' - Available for pre-order from Vinegar Syndrome direct - $24.99

Release date: February 25th

"This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome .com!

Vic Valance (David Garfield) is an enigmatic young man who has manipulated his way into working at the decaying mansion of a once prolific, but now reclusive and alcoholic, movie star named Katharine Packard (Miriam Hopkins). While the rest of the house staff become suspicious of Vic's intentions, the aging movie queen finds in him a companion and, she hopes, a lover. But as Vic begins behaving in more and more erratic ways, it becomes clear that he's far more sinister than his demeanor implies and might in fact be a vicious serial killer who has been murdering and dismembering middle-aged women in Hollywood...

A psychedelic proto-slasher by way of Sunset Blvd, HOLLYWOOD HORROR HOUSE (aka SAVAGE INTRUDER) was shot on and off between late 1969 and mid 1973 by writer/producer/director Donald Wolfe, with funds from his star home bus tour company. Chock full of lurid, candy-colored freak-outs shot by John Morrill (A Boy and His Dog) along with surprisingly grisly murder set pieces, plus a supporting cast including Gale Sondergaard, Virginia Wing (Law and Order), Florence Lake (Welcome to Arrow Beach), and Joe Besser (The Three Stooges) in his final role in a feature film, HOLLYWOOD HORROR HOUSE ramps up its weirdness all the way through it's demented final act and comes to Blu-ray from Vinegar Syndrome, newly restored in 4k from its original 35mm camera negative.

Directed by: Donald Wolfe
Starring: Miriam Hopkins, David Garfield, Gale Sondergaard, Virginia Wing, Florence Lake"

Special features and specs
  • Newly scanned & restored in 4k from its 35mm camera negative
  • Historical commentary track with David Decoteau of RapidHeart .tv and David Del Valle of SinisterImage .com
  • Promotional image gallery
  • Reversible cover artwork
  • English SDH subtitles
  • 1973
  • 91 min

'Xtro 3: Watch The Skies' - Available for pre-order from Vinegar Syndrome direct - $24.99

Release date: February 25th

"This special limited edition embossed slipcover (designed by Earl Kessler Jr.) is limited to 2,000 units and is only available here at VinegarSyndrome .com!

A group of military personnel have been assembled to, they believe, locate and disarm old active explosives which have been left unattended at a former army testing site on a remote island. But when they arrive at the deserted island, they soon discover that something doesn't seem quite right about their mission. Soon enough, they uncover a strange concrete block which, after accidentally blowing up, unleashes an indestructible, bloodthirsty alien being which will stop at nothing to kill them. As the survivors band together in order to stay alive and try and find a way to outwit the diabolical creature, they realize that their entire mission might have been a trap and that the military is using them as pawns in their own vicious plan...

The third and most violent entry in the XTRO trilogy, Harry Bromley Davenport's XTRO 3: WATCH THE SKIES moves the setting to Southern California while amping up both the action and the gore, through a series of nasty and inventive death scenes. Featuring a talented supporting cast, including Virgil Frye (Easy Rider, Graduation Day), Andrew Divoff (Air Force One, Toy Soldiers), Nigel Gibbs (Pump Up the Volume), and Robert Culp (I Spy) and photographed by Irv Goodnoff (Evilspeak, The Farmer), Vinegar Syndrome presents this underrated slice of 90s action tinged sci-fi/horror on Blu-ray for the very first time, newly restored in 2k from its original 35mm camera negative.

Directed by: Harry Bromley Davenport
Starring: Andrew Divoff, Virgil Frye, J. Marvin Campbell, Douglas Cavanaugh, Robert Culp"

“To, once again, avoid speculation, rumors, etc, I'm going to be the bearer of sorta bad news: DOLLY DEAREST is still being held up by the lab. We've got some new plans on how to try and speed things along...It's been quite frustrating for us and the owner...

Also lab related, we're awaiting delivery on the raw scans for one of the box set titles, so that too has been pushed back to April. We've also bumped up the Forgotten Gialli collection so that will be the first set to come out.

That set will include two never on disc (there might be some lousy Euro DVD) Spanish gialli as well as a deep cut Italian obscurity. All 70’s.”"

Yearly subscribers: you will receive an email tomorrow with coupons for the VSA and two Peekarama releases.

Now, one word of advanced notice for the sale: As a test, we will be trying something new, free shipping thresholds will remain active! But there's a catch, since you'll be getting 50% off your favorite goodies, the thresholds will be slightly higher than normal:
