They announced yesterday that: 1. They have completed an unfinished film from 1984 called New York Ninja (trailer looks great), by filming the missing bits. 2. They're distributing Censor in the US 3. They are filming their own movie from scratch in December. Sounds exciting! |

Does anyone know the deal with this flash sale? Is it worth holding out until black Friday?

I'm pretty sure it's 50% off most items, and then they have the exclusive pre-orders which you can only buy during the sale period. There is often a 'standard' version of those special products later in the year from online retailers.

"...we're gonna be unveiling two more titles from our November lineup, one a savage gem from one of the biggest directors in the history of horror, and the other a gruesome, never on Blu 80s classic with a mean set of teeth! We'll also be dropping an initial hint for our duo of November Surprise Titles, in addition to another surprise or two! And now for the details on the Flash Pre-Order: It begins Friday the 24th at 12:01 AM EST and runs through Sunday the 26th at 11:59 PM EST. During the pre-order, you'll be able to lock in your copies of our entire, five release November VS package, which includes the worldwide UHD debut of Paul Morrissey's 1973 masterpiece, FLESH FOR FRANKENSTEIN! Our UHD/BD combo pack edition will also include the original 3D version, presented for the first time ever on home video, in addition to the commonly seen Flat version."

'The Grave' (1995) - Blu-ray available from Vinegar Syndrome direct - $29.99 Release date: October 26 "King (Craig Sheffer, Night Breed) and Tyn (Josh Charles, Four Brothers) are inmates in a North Carolina prison who overhear the story of "The Grave", which promises buried treasure to anyone daring enough to embark on its quest. Naturally, the two break out of prison with the intent to dig up the mysterious loot, only to end up in a twisty crime and horror filled saga involving fellow criminals, old flames and a character known only as "The Priest" played by Keith David (They Live). An idiosyncratic and highly entertaining entry in the post-Tarantino, indie-crime cinema of the mid-90s, Jonas Pate's (Deceiver, TV's Outer Banks) clever amalgam of Southern Gothic, hardboiled fiction, dark comedy and Tales from the Crypt-esque horror yarn is utterly unique and elevated by an astonishing supporting cast including Eric Roberts (Runaway Train), Gabrielle Anwar (Body Snatchers), Donal Logue (Blade), Giovanni Ribisi (The Gift) and Anthony Michael Hall (TVs The Dead Zone). Never released on blu-ray, Vinegar Syndrome Archive is proud to present this overlooked genre oddity in a brand new 2K restoration from 35mm vault elements!" Special features and specs:
