That's how I feel about this upcoming release. I bought the initial DVD release in 2000 from Our Price and I have been more than happy with it in the 24 years since.

I too would like it but i simply can't justify spending forty five quid on a film i already have on Blu.

Plus despite what they say it's not supposed to be a spruced up sparkling looking film, it's a bunch of kids running round the woods at night with hand held cameras not the latest Avatar film.

Yeah I'm not sure how they can justify that price tag. Surely this should be more around the ?29.99 mark like the recent The Borderlands and The Sacrament.

It comes with a hardback book judging from that picture so there is no way it's in the 30 quid range.

Yes but it's a hardback book the size of a bloomin' Blu-ray. It's not like it's a coffee table book. It's not much larger than a beer mat.

Just been reading elsewhere about the quality of the essays in the Blu-ray special edition of The Sacrament.

I'm just going to cut and paste this as an example.

Quote:
"My introduction to found-footage horror occurred about six years ago when I sought horror movie recommendations from hometown friends on Facebook."

"When describing found-footage horror to others, I often characterise it as a subgenre blending reality TV and horror."

"Despite it's criticisms, found footage seamlessly merges reality and horror, offering a unique viewing perspective."

"It has become a cornerstone of my horror enthusiasm, providing a perfect blend of my interests in reality TV and horror."

"Found footage, with it's ability to blend reality and horror seamlessly, stands as a testament to the richness and diversity within the horror genre."

"Through its lens, I continue to explore the nuanced connections between fiction and reality, finding my cinematic home in the immersive realm of found-footage horror."
And Second Sight expect you to pay top dollar for this garbage.
