Your dream Prisoner cast

One of the things that a lot of fans want is a new series of Prisoner, for it to be remade. A remake as such will never happen but we understand that a new Aussie series called Inside Out is currently in pre-production and is to be loosely based on Prisoner. Time will tell if we ever see it.

I was wondering, in an ideal world if you could create your own cast for a new series of Prisoner, which non-Prisoner actors would you choose?

I'll start.

THE GOVERNOR: Barbara Windsor - A strange choice but I'd love to see her in a serious role
THE NICE OFFICER: Celia Imrie - Very underrated actress but would be brilliant
THE NASTY OFFICER: Gina Riley - From 'Kath and Kim'
THE TOKEN MALE OFFICER: Alan Fletcher - 'Neighbours' Karl Kennedy

THE TOP DOG: Linda Henry - Brilliantly played Yvonne Atkins in 'Bad Girls'
THE ENEMY: Pauline Quirke - A great part for Pauline to play
THE COMEDY VALUE PRISONERS: French and Sunders - It has to be!
THE OLD LAG: Maggie Jones - Blanche from 'Coronation Street'
THE EYE CANDY: Kylie Minogue - This would be a fabulous return to acting for her!

It is actually more of a difficult task than I imagined! What would your choices be?

In an ideal world I would want to keep all the actresses australian..as that was part of the charm of the show..but would have to think more as to who i would pick!!
