In memory of actor Tim Barlow (1936 - 2023) Appeared as Tyssan in the 1979 Doctor Who story 'Destiny of the Daleks' He suffered with total deafness, having lost his hearing in the 1950's when he was in the army and was testing a high velocity Muzzle Rifle However, in 2008, he received a cochlear implant which allowing him to partially hear again. His experience with the cochlear implant was the subject of a BBC radio program, 'It's My Story: Earfull - From Silence Into Sound'
