I've yet to watch the new episodes but overall reaction from those I talk to has been quite negative, this includes those who enjoy new who as much as old who

2.6 million overnights.
The same raging success that got BBC Wales Who axed.
Way to go Rusty!

You can't yet beat it with that stick because I-Player figures don't count in the over nights. We'll have to see what the seven days are like for those figures and a proper look at how it actually did. I'm guessing many hardcore Davies fans watched on I-Player well before it was transmitted.

I like how 200,000 turned off following the shite that was Space Babies.

I quite enjoyed the first half an hour of The Devil's Chord but the musical showdown between the Doctor and Maestro would have had me turning it off had it not been Who.

As for The Twist?

I liked it. It worked for me and brought things down to earth after the OTT campness of the previous twenty minutes.

If the Moffat episode next week doesn't redeem the series then there's a good chance i won't bother watching the remaining five episodes.

Pretty much every episode from The Star Beast onwards has been really poor, with the exception being The Giggle which i mostly enjoyed.

The basic premise was good - travelling back in time to see The Beatles in their early years, only to discover they were recording terrible songs ( though, walking straight into Abbey Road studios and into the recording studio so easily was stretching it a bit, but anyway ).
But then we had the usual OTT villain, a boring bit and then a musical number to fill up the last ten minutes and the whole interesting idea was forgotten.
I?ll watch the Moffat episode at some point, but I can?t honestly see me watching any more of the series if these two stories are anything to go by.
