Watched Revelation of the Daleks, with my NYD dinner. Both very enjoyable. Here's to watching more classic in 2025 (think I only saw about 4 last year...)

Watched The War Games in colour.
To be honest, I?m not a fan of colourising black and white programmes, or cutting them down drastically. One of the many appeals of classic Who is the multi episode serials and one of the many reasons why Season 7 is my favourite.
Yes, the music was a bit overbearing at times and the quick cut editing a bit much, but I have to say I really enjoyed it. The colourisation was really good and the regeneration between the second and third Doctor was a lovely touch.

Those early scenes outside the TARDIS were beautiful to look at.

An image of Stewart Bevan as Cliff Jones and Katy Manning as Jo Grant plus a giant maggot from the 1973 Radio Times tenth anniversary Doctor Who special.

If Stewart Bevan did nothing else in his acting life his mid seventies output on his cv could simply consist of three names - Doctor Who, Pete Walker and John Wayne - and he'd have achieved more in the awesome coolness stakes than more celebrated actors had done their entire career.

Roy Knipe's excellent cover art for Ian Marter's novel of The Sontaran Experiment (1975). It was released by Target Books in 1978. An artwork that really captured my imagination as a child.
