Tom's Doctor is famous all over the world for his long multicoloured scarf and hat but on occasions he did wear other items of clothing. For example in The Talons of Weng-Chiang (1977) he went full on Sherlock Holmes in Deerstalker hat and cape and in Terror of the Zygons (1975) he adopted the Scottish dress of tam o' shanter bonnet and tartan scarf. Note Harry Sullivan (Ian Marter) wearing the Doctor's usual long scarf in this image from the Zygon story.
