"BBC Worldwide have confirmed that The Tenth Planet has been moved forward in the release schedule and will now be released on Monday 14th October 2013. This replaces next month's originally planned DVD release of The Moonbase, which the new edition of Doctor Who Magazine has reported is now expected on 20th January 2014.

The release schedule in the United Kingdom now currently looks as follows:

30th September - The Monster Collection
30th September - Terror of the Zygons
14th October - The Tenth Planet
28th October - The Complete Series 7
4th November - The Complete Series 1-7 (Blu Ray)
2nd December - The Day of the Doctor Anniversary release (this will include the drama An Adventure in Space and Time)
20th January - The Moonbase

There are no details at present as to when The Underwater Menace will be released, though it is expected to be during 2014."

Or, you know, they just finished work on it early and want to get it out. I would like to be proven wrong, but I highly doubt it.

It does make you wonder if something else will come out in its November slot.

You'd think the BBC would deny all the episode find rumours.

Watched the tv movie again this week.

Looking back on it after eight years of new Who there isn't an awful lot wrong with it. That kiss which worked everyone up is now par for the course. The Doctor is a new man, younger than McCoy, and finds an attractive woman who seems a similar age with a similar personality. Why wouldn't they kiss.?

There has been romance throughout Doctor Who, but not really with the Doctor, apart from The Aztecs where he finds a woman of a similar age and personality (see where this is going?) and they almost get married. Ian and Barbara clearly fell in love, Ben and Polly were an item, Jo left to get married, but throwaway lines throughout the Pertwee ere suggested she was seeing Mike Yates before her whirlwind romance to Clifford. On the whole the Doctor has always been an older man than his companions. Davison being the exception but Nyssa was too young and Tegan too bossy. Even the Eccleston Doctor was too old for Rose and that never really blossomed until he became the younger Tennant. As for Smith, well there's River his wife.

Back to the tv movie. It only really falls apart fifteen minutes from the end with the fight with the Master in the TARDIS where they decided to throw in the kitchen sink. Once that was over with, those final scenes on the steps with Grace and Chang Lee were perfect Who and made me wish they had gone on to greater adventures.

I'm currently working thru the complete box sets of 'The Sarah Jane Adventures', the five series' of which ran between 2007-2011

To be honest, I am finding them much more enjoyable and engrossing that the 'Doctor Who' episodes that were transmitted during the same time period

Really. It can't be an aversion to all things RT-D then.

I gave up to them mid way through the first series. Found them on a par with K9 And Company.
