Why would he pull out of The second series of The Musketeers if this was the case?

With a full series commissioned for 2015 they will have to have a quick turn over of actors.

If BBC3 is shutting down, where will we be able to see repeats of the show (even if we are only being treated to Nu-Who at the moment)?

Perhaps bbc 2 or bbc 4.

Hopefully bbc2 instead of continuous cooking, antiques and property shows.

I just wish the BBC would have a dedicated channel to Dr Who.

Pigs might fly.

I finally watched my birthday present 'Spearhead from Space' and really loved it. It looked fantastic on BD. This is the first show I've seen featuring Pertwee besides 5 doctors. Tom Baker has now been replaced in my heart with John as my favourite. I own about 7 classic DVDs now, and although I remember bits of the shows as a child I was never a fan like I am now. My top 3 DVDs are now

Spearhead from Space
The Five Doctors

Glad you liked Spearhead From Space, Rassilon. It was the first ever Who story I watched and it has remained my favourite ever since. I agree - the Blu-ray looks stunning.

As someone who is in my 40's, I still find that the scene with the Autons breaking out of the shop window sends chills down my spine, and has me biting my bottom lip

I agree Suzi and where I found some of the violence in The Two Doctors gratuitous and bad taste, Spearhead had style and was justifiable. What also worked for me was the effects. They didn't try to make aliens out of fairy liquid bottles and bottle tops so it was more chilling and realistic. It reminded me at times of a hammer horror movie. My favourite scene was when John tells the army to stand back as he blows the lock off the door. Only the explosion is a mere flash of a lighter. I wonder if the smile on John's face is him reply thinking 'how silly'
