Sorry, my mistake - I thought it was four episodes ; I meant that I missed the last episode. Well in my defence, it was virtually a quarter of a century ago

If the rumour is true that there's the possibility of an episode in the next series that will spin-off into a new Blakes 7 series, I would be a happy man.

Talking of the chrimbo special, I thought it sucked.
It was interesting to hear that Bill Baily was a miner for Androzine major from the Davison stroy The Caves of Androzine but besides that it was just dull.

rewatched Masque of Mandragora/3 Doctors at weekend, dont know how many times ive watched the 10th anniversary one....a stumped Brig, a looney villian, the interplay between Pat and Jon, Ms Manning's bum...aaah bliss.
Masque on the other hand was a bit dull in comparison. ahem.

on a slight tangent, was pleased to find The UNIT Files AND The Sensorites both in ASDA!

Yeah but if that happened we wouldn't be able to see a mans face graphically melt at 7 in the evening. Ah, I love the 80's.

Recently rewatched the Pat Troughton story The Invasion. Despite being 8 episodes, it never feels like it drags or has any 'padding'. Kevin Stoney as Tobias Vaughan has to be one the great Dr Who villains. Plus the animated 'missing' episodes were a joy. If only the new series would create a Cyberman story like this. Not holding my breath though.

At last! Someone else who love's the re-animated episodes!
Glad to note that The Reign of Terror is getting the same treatment as we speak!

"It's almost time. New monsters are becoming real, old friends are returning to Cardiff and somewhere in Wales, a tweed jacket is being taken from its hanger and lovingly dusted off. It can only mean one thing... Filming on the new series of Doctor Who begins on 20 February, 2012!

The first director to shout 'action' will be the award-winning Saul Metzstein whose previous credits include Micro Men (starring Alexander Armstrong and Martin Freeman), the critically acclaimed Late Night Shopping and BBC Wales' Upstairs Downstairs. For the very first time, Doctor Who will be produced at the new BBC Roath Lock Studios in Cardiff, which officially open in March. The production team includes Steven Moffat (Executive Producer and lead writer), Caroline Skinner (Executive Producer) and Marcus Wilson (Producer).

The new series will see Matt Smith return as the Doctor in what Steven Moffat has described as 'the biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we've ever made'. Karen Gillan (Amy) and Arthur Darvill (Rory) are both back, for what will be their final voyage with the Doctor - a thrilling rollercoaster ride which will culminate in a heart-breaking farewell to the Ponds. But there will be more shocks, surprises and adventures to come when the Doctor meets a new friend, in the last very place he could ever have expected...

And yes! We've been promised the return of some old monsters, but some new and terrifying ones lie in wait for the Doctor..."

Moffats old monsters are probably the Ood.

I am really looking forward to the release of The Reign of Terror in October.

The animation of The Invasion was excellent, this coupled with the fact that ROT is a very good story (all the historicals are imo) makes it my must have release of the year of any film / tv genre.
