There's no doubt that these are great writers, I just don't think they are DR WHO writers. It's the same with this idea of Moffat coming up with a 'great'
title ( DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP anyone? ) then sending it off to the writers to build a story around it. Classic WHO doesn't have great titles. It has great stories.

The Armageddon Factor, Timelash, Nightmare of Eden, Four to Doomsday
- great titles but less than great stories.

Horror of Fang Rock - Great title and great story.

DR WHO AND THE SILURIANS, THE DEADLY ASSASIN, PYRAMIDS OF MARS, ROBOTS OF DEATH etc. Not the greatest titles, but brilliant stories.

I was just making the point that I don't agree with thinking up a title then building a story around it.

Agree about HORROR OF FANG ROCK. Great stuff!

Yes it's a terrific story. Mind you, I love all of season 7.

In a way season 7 is similar to what's on tv at the moment.

A new Doctor very different to the last one, positively grumpy and rude at times with stories quite different to what we have seen with either of the last two Doctors, and Autons aside, no monsters so to speak.

Wasn't expecting much from the caretaker story but i quite enjoyed it, very slight story but worth it for Capaldi's performance.

I too enjoyed it. Reminiscent of Roberts other stories though.

Again as with much of this series it doesn't really feel like i'm watching Doctor Who. Perhaps it's new Doctor syndrome as i felt the same watching much of Smith's first series, but i think that's excellent now.

I just couldn't get into this episode at all. It really bored me. The Doctor actually annoyed me to be honest.
