I'm with Dem on this, one of my favourites so far.
To be honest i wasn't expecting much, for a start it kinda annoys me when we have old vehicles floating in space etc, like the Christmas one with the shark, or titanic/bus etc, i keep thinking that they're not aerodynamic (but i'm fine with a blue box floating around, so go figure )
The title didn't sound promising either, (dinosaurs on a spaceship, anyone), Frank Skinner and some pop tart, i was expecting car crash TV.
But as soon as it started i was drawn in, the direction seemed quite atmospheric and tight, the ticking clock was a nice touch and gave those scenes a sense of urgency.
Thought Frank Skinner was ok,(i'm not a fan) but he played his character perfectly well and seemed respectful of the story. Foxes blended in as a cameo but didn't distract from the story and didn't have any lines. (thank F**K!!!)
The setting was suitably claustrophobic and everyone acted well i thought, especially liked the woman who hated her nan(?), Clara did well and there was some nice atmospheric lighting in these scenes.
The mummy was great as it advanced slowly on the doomed passengers, really nice design.
Capaldi was good too, keeping everything flowing and working out the solution as the time ticked down, especially liked his speech on the beach at the end.
Oh and that Micky clone mr Pink was kept out of the way too.
So all in all i thought it was good all round.

Same here. Thats what put me off last week when I saw the trailer and was probably the reason why I went into this episode thinking the worst....Then Frank turn't up (also not a fan and I didn't know he was in it) and I thought WTF!

Terrific episode in an excellent series. I can't recall many nu Who series that have had such a strong consistent run of good stories. Agree with everything that's been said in favour of this one. Next weeks looks promising too.

I'm not so sure.

It looks like Love and Monsters 2 to me.

Impossible to tell from the brief next time though.

Who do you think your kidding Mr Moffat? Clumsy writing is killing this stone dead imo.

AAAnyhow.

The Chase. Too comedic by half for me, I mean Daleks NOT killing everyone? Really? Hmmmm.....

The Keys Of Marinus. Instantly goes into my top 10 Who episodes. It has it all. Ian's jacket! Spectacular fluffs! Domestic violence! More excitement than a really exciting thing!! Had read the novelisation years back. Must dig it out again methinks!!

Borrowed mates Lost In Time. Great to think that as time marches on, one day this might just be a handy guide to how shortsighted the Beeb really were.......or is, sod posterity!!

As I also borrowed his The Sensorites..... liked this, first time I've seen it etc.

Lost In Time. Not to be watched in one go, though I gave it a good try ahem. Who'd out at the moment, so may just wait til Saturday for the rest (last disc etc).

For a story about some bearded bald blokes it's pretty enjoyable isn't it?
