I would like to see the Christmas special, but...I am going to be in London, spending the festive and New Year period with the 'in-laws' - Chloe's parents - and they will not be watching 'Doctor Who', so I will have to catch up with it at a later date

Because of this, I am finding it hard to get excited over

Christmas 'Doctor Who' used to be an 'occasion' for me. An event to look forward to at time of transmission, but now it's just another thing to add to the 'record' pile!

Wonder when we'll have a Dalek story as a Christmas special?

I would love to see the stone Dalek or wood Cybermen developed for a one off story.

Like Colin Baker before him and indeed Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi since he was let down by what i consider to be poor scripts, but his final season is perhaps my favourite season of Doctor Who ever.
I've never taken to McCoy's Doctor and have all of the classic Who stories on dvd, except the Seventh Doc ( apart from Silver Nemesis, but that's nothing to brag about ). Now that the classic range has come to an end ( or has it? ) I may try one or two of his era.
As I recall, Ghost Light, Curse Of Fenric and Remembrance Of The Daleks may be worth a punt. I also have a bit of a soft spot for The Kandyman in The Happiness Patrol, even though I know I really shouldn't

Here's my recommended buying order, Mojo. The first 5 are essential. If you find you like McCoy after then continue with the others if not, well that's okay.

Remembrance Of The Daleks
Curse of Fenric
Ghost Light
Survival
Battlefield
The Happiness Patrol
The Greatest Show in the Galaxy
Delta and the Bannermen
Dragonfire
Paradise Towers
Time and the Rani

Curse of Fenric everytime. The TV Movie edition of Fenric is well worth a watch with those new CGI effects. I've personally never tired of watching it. I was never that taken with McCoy, but in some stories he does seem to grow on you. After Survival, you wish that the BBC had never cancelled the show. Doctor Who was gradually coming back with much more solid and better thought out stories. Compared to what we call Doctor Who today in 2016.

I would love to see Steven Moffat as himself appear in Doctor Who. Then we could have Davros personally give the command..." EXTERMINATE". Hopefully that might happen at the end of next year's Christmas special. Plus Nardole gets extra multiple exterminations. Now that would be a perfect Doctor Who Xmas special.

And just to think that I have to suffer Nardole all through next series.

He might not annoy you as much as you fear.

I really didn't like the idea of James Corden being in the show but loved his two episodes and the way he interacted with the Doctor.
