There is a long standing myth that the Krotons were the winning entry in a Blue Peter 'design a monster' competition that was held during the late 60's. It's thought that this misapprehension is due to the fact that one of the winning entries was the 'Aqua-Man', which resembled a cardboard box with legs and arms — in some ways similar to the appearance of the Krotons It's featured around the 7:30 mark

Quite agree - Krotons is pretty unremarkable but it's nowhere near as dull or stupid as The Dominators. |
