However he shone with Broadchurch which is very much a human show. To be honest it's showing as in this episode the whole was forgettable but some smaller character scenes stood out. |

Controversially i'd have asked Mark Gatiss to run the show. His episodes have been hit and miss but he likes Gothic horror and is happy to write for old enemies as well. His story outlines would have been given by the show runner so in a way Moffat was as much to blame for the awful Sleep No More. It's not an easy thing to answer because i have no idea who might have wanted to do it. I guess Peter Jackson wasn't in contention. |

I do agree no matter what people moan about if a character in the shows is awful its not the characters fault (the person who plays them ) they are just doing what they are told to do and that's their job , its all down to the script writers , directors , producers etc , Ive no idea who I would have liked to write the scripts etc but someone who a dedicated doctor who fan and knows the original show inside out would be a start . sam a huge Agatha Christie fan and read all her books etc so when she watches the films or TV shows based of the characters etc at times she does point out if they are nowt like the character in the books .

I'm liking Jodie on the whole, like Dem says you can only do the best with the script you are given. Tonight's was a bit shite but every season lately has it's fair amount of toss. I also always thought Gatiss should have taken over, this is even before the Moff. Also enjoyed the Tardis scenes, the new one kinda echoes the old , shape wise anyways.

The Ghost Monument.
7.1m overnight viewers. A drop, but still very good. Even as it stands, without the full seven day figure, it's still the third most watched program of the week (Behind Strictly's two shows). I predicted 6m overnights, so i was way out. |

Doctor Who is nothing more than an empty husk of a show now. I have nothing wrong with the casting of a female Doctor, but it's the way the show is now being driven that concern's me by the BBC. If I want to watch some genuine Dr Who, then it's get those DVD's out from the past. In the end it's owned by the BBC, so they can do what they like with it. For me it's the sad end. RIP Doctor Who 1963-2014 |
