They really missed a trick by not having him appear in the 2014 and 2015 episodes when Clara was teaching there, and Capaldi was the caretaker It would have been a nice tribute if he had appeared in the 50th anniversary episode 'The Day of the Doctor' I know that he was in 'An Adventure In Space And Time'... ![]() ...and was an 'Easter Egg' in the parent show for sharp eyed viewers... ![]() ...but he should have had a walk on part as well

That always made me smile - how close a certain junk yard was to the school. Sort of made a mockery of An Unearthly Child as Ian and Barbara followed Susan home, must have followed her for all of two feet. ![]() |

'Remembrance Of The Daleks' is one of the top five greatest stories in the history of the show, but it had a horrifyingly huge gaff in it! ![]()

Doctor Who over the years: Episode quotes Terror Of The Zygons – Part 1Sarah: Anyway, it's nice to see you again, Brigadier. The Brigadier: And you, Miss Smith. Sarah: Though I didn't expect to see you in a kilt. The Brigadier: My dear Miss Smith, as you remember, my name is Lethbridge Stewart. The clan Stewart. Sarah: Oh, sorry. I thought you were doing a Doctor. The Brigadier: What an absurd idea. The Doctor: Brigadier, why have you called me back? I hope you've got a very good reason. (A man wearing oil rig clothes and a life belt is washed up on the shore. The Doctor is sitting with his eyes closed while the Brigadier brings him and us up to speed.) The Brigadier: All three rigs were in this area. Therefore it seems to us The Doctor: Brigadier, Brigadier! Have you brought me two hundred and seventy million miles just to sort out a little trouble at sea? The Brigadier: Three serious disasters, Doctor! The Doctor: When I left the psionic beam with you, Brigadier, I said it was only to be used in an emergency. The Brigadier: This is an emergency. The Doctor: Oil an emergency? Huh! It's about time the people who run this planet of yours realised that to be dependent upon a mineral slime just doesn't make sense. Now, the energising of hydrogen The Brigadier: Doctor, the destruction of these rigs is a complete mystery. Do you want more men to die? The Doctor: No. Very well. When do we start? The Brigadier: The oil company. We're paying them a visit this afternoon Terror Of The Zygons – Part 2[Sarah notices the Brigadier is stirring and alerts the Doctor] Sarah: Hey, he's coming round. The Doctor: Hmm? [They move to stand over where the Brigadier is getting up off the floor. The Brigadier comes upright face-to-face with the Doctor] The Brigadier: Ah, Doctor, there you are. [the Brigadier suddenly looks askance and pensive] What was I doing on the floor? The Doctor: You've been asleep, Brigadier. The Brigadier: Asleep? Impossible. I was on duty. There are times, Doctor, when you do talk absolute nonsense. Excuse me. [the Brigadier walks past between them. The Doctor and Sarah share a chuckle] Terror Of The Zygons – Part 3Forgill: Perhaps you'll explain this intrusion? The Doctor: Nobody opened the front door. Forgill: I see. You have some reason for calling? The Doctor: Yes. Forgill: Well? The Doctor: Brigadier? The Brigadier: Yes? The Doctor: Well, tell him. The Brigadier: Oh, yes. Er, well sir, the fact is. Forgill: The fact is what? The Brigadier: We have reason to believe there's something rather unusual in the Loch. Forgill: Loch Ness? The Brigadier: Yes, sir. Forgill: Don't tell me you've found the monster. Sarah: As it happens, your Grace, that's just what we do mean. Forgill: I do believe you're serious. The Doctor: We are. Very. Terror Of The Zygons – Part 4The Brigadier: No, the cabinet's accepted my report and the whole affair's now completely closed. The Duke: You mean it never happened. The Brigadier: Er, well, a fifty foot monster can't swim up the Thames and attack a large building without some people noticing. But you know what politicians are like.

Reperused Planet Of Evil Yet another that creeped me out as a bairn. The Doctor and Sarah Jane find themselves in another jam, as they land on Zeta Minor ... a planet with not so hidden danger lurking around every corner ahem. Another well meaning scientist is at the core of this particular tale ... a cornerstone of the genre ![]() ![]() ![]()
