I think this longer Solo teaser trailer is a bit better:

Is weird to see the Falcon ship so clean. It's pretty dirty around a decade later.

And yep, the lead actor doesn't really remind you of Harrison Ford. Still...I think that I can get over that if the film is enjoyable enough.

That's a lot better but dear god what hell is up with his face (guy playing Solo) just looks so weird. As well as not looking like Ford he sounds nothing like him.

People on here can mock the likes of Hivemind and myself for suggesting Disney are purely in it for the money and have no real love for Star Wars but the latest news really does prove us correct.

The creators of the Game of Thrones TV series are to make a series of films for the rapidly-expanding Star Wars universe.

But it will develop a story separate from the current series, and also from a trilogy planned by director Rian Johnson, who was behind 2017's The Last Jedi.

We are talking James Bond when it comes to amount of films released but Eon have done it over 50 years whereas Disney will do it over 5.

It's called overkill and i hope Disney crash and burn because there's **** all love for Star Wars in the corporation.

Game of Thrones creators handed Star Wars project - BBC News

And for all those that say fanboys this and that. Well we are long past that. Now Disney are making it all up as quickly as possible as they go along.

Well, I thought Rogue One and The Last Jedi were great, up there with the original trilogy, and possibly better than Return of the Jedi. Star Wars Rebels is awesome too.

I see no problem with expanding the universe, something the old EU novels, comics, and video games (plus The Clone Wars animated series) were doing long before Disney bought Lucasfilm, and they’re drawing elements from this source material. Star Wars is so much more than just the original trilogy, and it should be; it’s a rich mythology set in a vast galaxy inhabited by so many characters, and has so many stories to tell. I think they’ve done a good job so far, and as for just being in it for the money, I think they’ve lovingly featured callbacks to those beloved three films, and at the same time, managed to push the mythos forwards.

And what is the film industry at the end of the day? Yes, that’s right it’s a business. Personally, I think the quality control has been top notch, but they wouldn’t be doing this for free. If the quality sinks as low as the first two prequels, then we should start to worry if they’re just in it for the money.

my only problem with solo is that really could of gotten someone who looked and sounded more like Ford.

But saying that i can't really judge what he is like until i see the film

Don't you think having 9, yes nine films, in the works smacks of a cash grab? I'm not saying this because it's Star Wars either. Any film series i'd say it be it Marvel, Bond or Paddington.

Perhaps Disney are trying to smash Marvel to submission.

I think if these different talented creative teams realize some great storytelling on screen in the Star Wars universe, then I'm all for it. But I hope they don't churn out half-arsed crap just for the money.

The fact that they are different creative teams is good in my opinion as hopefully the one from the GoT guys will be different to Johnson's and so on.

GoT- Expect full on orgies in Jabba's palace and Chewie to literally rip the arms off Stormtroopers.
