Default The Mario Bianchi Thread

Mario Bianchi. Not a name particularly well known, but a look at his IMDb pages shows he's directed quite a few Italian exploitation titles! Perhaps the most famous on this board is Satan's Baby Doll, but has anyone seen any of his other films?

Share your thoughts of any films you may have seen of his here...

Anyone care to shed more light on this director?

The cover of an XXX release of Satan's Baby Doll...

He is the son of Roberto Bianchi Montero (who directed SO SWEET, SO DEAD) and was assistant director on Mario Bava's FIVE DOLLS FOR AN AUGUST MOON. He later did a shit load of sleazy porn films and apparently directed some sequences for Lucio Fulci's GHOST'S OF SODOM.

His late Giallo THE MURDER SECRET is pretty decent and well worth watching. (almost all the gore scenes were later used in CAT IN THE BRAIN)

He co-wrote Tragic Ceremony which is a fine movie.

I need to track down more of his films. Fasthand is supposed to be quite the violent spaghetti, and always wanted to check out his Eurocrime films, as well.

That VHS cover of Satan's Baby Doll is ridiculous...in the best possible way!

Haha, fantastic. Still haven't seen Satan's Baby Doll, actually, although I DO own Malabimba, however...bonkers!

Malabimba is actually pretty good, and as in Burial Ground the english dub can be really wild and funny at times. I was also impressed by the lead actress Katell Laennec who unfortunately makes her first and last appearance on screen. A shame for sure..

I thought Satan's Baby Doll was terrible - the worst film I've seen from Shameless so far (yes, worse than Ratman). It's the only Shameless release I have sold on.

Not seen any of his other films, but I'd be interested to give them a go.
