I'm sure you are aware of the many shoot interviews available online. I have more of an interest in the NWA side of yesteryear. I was pleased the Vice documentery
mentioned the torture sessions that happened in the Tampa area and didn't whitewash anything.

Yeah I sometimes watch the shoot interviews, there is on YouTube a interesting 3 hour interview with The Honky Tonk Man.

Dark Side Of The Ring: Abdullah The Butcher, Legacy Of Blood.

One of the biggest heels in wrestling history Larry Shreve took on the character Abdullah a fierce tough guy from Sudan who fought in Puerto Rico, Japan, WCW, and the Indie circuit. This episode looks back at his childhood in Ontario to travelling to Detroit and taking up a long career in wrestling making money where he went. In 2014 he was sued by another wrestler after he contracted Hepatitis C and lost a court case and now struggling to make ends meet. This was interesting to hear Abdullah speak in his own words about his family and his career without having to fork someone.

Contributions from Mick Foley. Tony Atlas, Ralph Shreve, Josephine Heron (brother and sister), Hugo Savinovich, Devon "Hannibal" Nicholson (The Hannibal TV Youtube Channel), Jocelyn Malikah Marshall.

Next Episode Bam Bam Bigelow: The Beast From The East.

The AEW 'All In' PPV, coming from Wembley Stadium, is less than a week away, and as far as I am aware... no matches have been announced yet!

Dark Side Of The Ring: Bam Bam Bigelow Beast From The East.

Scott Bigelow came from New Jersey and joined WWF in 1987 and was capulted to main events which lasted for a year and went to WCW and wrestled in Japan. Early 90s he rejoined WWF and joined ECW. During his wrestling in ECW Bigelow became addicted to Oxycontin and died at the age of 45 to a accidental overdose.

Seeing Bam Bam wrestle was amazing on how a man that was almost 400lbs be able to do a back flip off the top turnbuckle and cartwheel and was able to put on great matches.

Contributions from Ricci, Scott Coltin and Shane Bigelow (children) Dana Breckenridge (ex wife) D.D.P, Taz, Shane Douglas, Dave Meltzer.

This episode is/was on YouTube run time 43:53 is the better upload.

Next episode is Bash At The Beach 2000. 1/8/23

Dark Side Of The Ring: Bash At The Beach 2000.

During the 90s WWE and WCW were in a ratings Monday Night Battle, writer Vince Russo left WWE and signed up for WCW. Their summer event BASH AT THE BEACH was one of the highlights, Jeff Jarrett was the reigning champion and was due to drop the belt to Booker T. Hulk Hogan was set to loose but used his *SPOILER* creative control and changed things. However Booker and Double J had their match and Russo cut a promo which everyone thought is it real or not and Hogan taking offence.

Contributions from Dave Meltzer, Eric Bischoff, Lance Storm, Vincen Russo and Jeff Jarrett.

Next episode The World According To Marty Jannetty. 08/08/23.
