The results from the 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames Pay Per View:

SPOILER:
  • Straight into the action with the Women's WarGames match which was won when Becky Lynch (in a team with Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Shotzi) gained a pinfall on Bayley (in a team with fellow Damage CTR members Asuka, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane) for the win
  • Next was a Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship which ended when Gunther defeated The Miz by submission to retain the title
  • The third bout was the only non-stipulation match of the evening. It was a standard singles match which was won when Santos Escobar defeated Dragon Lee (subbing for an injured Carlito) via pinfall
  • The penultimate match of the evening was a Singles match for the Women's World Championship which culminated in Rhea Ripley defeating Zoey Stark via pinfall to retain the title
  • The final event of the night was the Men's WarGames match which ended when the team consisting of Cody Rhodes, Seth Freakin Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and a returning Randy Orton defeated The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Balor, 'Dirty' Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh) with Drew McIntyre by pinfall when Rhodes got the count over Priest

Needless to say, the pop that Orton received on his return lifted the roof of the Allstate Arena in Illinois, although it was matched at the end of the event when the 'Cult Of Personality' music played and CM Punk walked out onto the entrance ramp, marking the first time he had been at a WWE event since the Royal Rumble PPV in January 2013

The 2023 Survivor Series: WarGames event was a huge success. Not only was it the first WarGames to be held in Chicago since a WCW house show in 1987, it also saw the return of two extremely popular superstars. Add to that, the fact that the all five of the matches were above average and you have got one of the best PPV's of the year

Although there is an NXT PPV on December 9th - 'Deadline' - the next scheduled WWE PPV is not going to be until January 27th 2024 when the 37th annual Royal Rumble match is due to be held at the Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida

WWE Legend Tammy Sytch Sentenced To 17 Years In Prison / TMZ

This isn't good
"With great sadness we must announce that WWE have taken the decision to withdraw from the Home Video category. No licensing deals will be renewed worldwide after 2023.

This means the very last WWE Home Video release from Fremantle will be CROWN JEWEL 2023 (2-Disc DVD) on 18th December (UK) and 22nd December (GER).

WWE Home Video have been releasing VHS, DVD & Blu-ray for 36 years, the last 11 years through Fremantle in Europe, but this will come to an end on 31st December 2023 with no further WWE DVD or Blu-ray stock manufactured.

Everyone at WWE Home Video UK would like to thank all our collectors and fans for many years of support and passion."

That'd a bit manic, the joys of childhood memories of going to (at the time) John Menzies to get the new wrestling vhs tape, suppose all the new stuff will be on the WWE Network and could be making more money that way rather than distributing their products in shops.

Bobby 'The Brain' strikes again!

"Brain: (on Hogan's theme music) "That's my second favorite song."
Gorilla: "I'm almost afraid to ask... What's your favorite?"
"Brain: "All the rest are tied.""

Apparently Raw is moving to Netflix at the start of 2025 in a ten year deal worth $500m a year

For the UK, this means that Smackdown, NXT and PPVs are also going to be on Netflix

January 24th 1999 - 25 years ago today, The Rock and Mankind had one of the most brutal and infamous matches in WWF history - the 'I Quit' match at the 'Royal Rumble' event

The match, which lasts just over 20 minutes, ended after Mankind took eleven vicious and unprotected chair shots to the head while his hands were handcuffed behind his back

The chair shots were brutal, didn't Mick's family walk out to the back during the match?

Think it was about this time in 1988, Hacksaw Jim Duggan won the first ever Royal Rumble.

Duggan did state in a interview, Vince had plans for him, until he was driving in a car with The Iron Sheik, they got pulled over and Sheik had some stuff on him that they both landed in a police station answering questions and that derailed the plans.
