Coming to Netflix on September 25

"'Mr. McMahon' chronicles the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, controversial businessman and co-founder of WWE. From his transformation of the WWE from a small, regional business into a global entertainment powerhouse to the explosive sexual misconduct allegations that led to his eventual resignation, this six-episode series offers a deep dive into McMahon's life and his enduring franchise. Culled from over 200 hours of interviews with McMahon himself (prior to his resignation), his family members, business associates and some of the most iconic names in wrestling history, as well as the journalists who uncovered McMahon?s allegations ? filmmaker Chris Smith ('Tiger King') and executive producer Bill Simmons ('30 for 30') present an unflinching, no-holds-barred look at one of the most enigmatic figures in sports entertainment"

We are at the end of August, so that can only mean one thing - the 'Bash In Berlin' Pay Per View has just been held, somewhere in Germany:

SPOILER:
  • Kicking things off was a Singles match for the Undisputed WWE Championship where Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens by pinfall to retain the title
  • This was followed by a Tag team match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship which ended when Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill regained the title that they had lost in June in Scotland when they defeated The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn) thanks to a pinfall from Cargill onto Dawn
  • Mid-point and it's a Strap Match which ended when CM Punk was able to touch all four corners of the ring before Drew McIntyre
  • The penultimate bout was a Mixed tag team match where The Terror Twins (Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley) defeated The Judgment Day ("Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan [assisted by Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Carlito]) by pinfall to get the win.
  • The main event was a Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship which ended when Gunther retained the title by defeating Randy Orton by technical submission

And that was it. 5 matches at a major PPV. Admittedly all the bouts were quite lengthy [ranging from 12 minutes to 34 minutes] but compare that to the AEW 'All In' PPV at Wembley stadium a week ago [August 25] which had 12 matches - shortest being 8 minutes, longest being 26 and I can't help thinking that we are being taken for a ride by the WWE

Anyway, 'Bad Blood' is the next WWE offering, coming from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 5
