SummerSlam 1992 - the first (and only) time that a major WWF PPV has taken place in the UK

Although the event was held on Saturday, August 29th, because of the different time zones, it wasn't actually broadcast in the States until Monday August 31st

It was a major event at the time, and was big news in the UK. Even those with no interest in wrestling were caught up in it! Over 80,000 fans packed into the old Wembley Arena to see the spectacle

Those in attendance witnessed:
- The Legion of Doom (with Paul Ellering) vs. Money Inc. (with Jimmy Hart)
- Nailz vs. Virgil
- Shawn Michaels (with Sensational Sherri) vs Rick Martel

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
- The Natural Disasters vs. The Beverly Brothers (with The Genius)
- Crush vs. Repo Man

WWE Championship Match
- The Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage
- The Undertaker (with Paul Bearer) vs. Kamala (with Harvey Wippleman and Kim Chee)

- Tatanka vs. The Berzerker (with Mr. Fuji)

Intercontinental Championship Match
- The British Bulldog vs. Bret Hart

It's very possible (!) that this is from a joke site

"Following a period of intense downsizing, which may still be underway, World Wrestling Entertainment has a drastically smaller roster than ever before, with only nine sports-entertainers left on the payroll.

Although a WWE spokesperson said the streamlining was “best for business,” some pundits believe the roster is now too thin to carry both Raw and Smackdown.

Here is the remaining WWE roster:

Xavier Woods
Randy Orton
Eva Marie
Gran Metalik
Jimmy Uso
Roman Reigns
Dominik Mysterio
Nia Jax
Baron Corbin

In related news, AEW (American Extreme Wrestling) signed 47 new recruits this week."

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they had that but most of the ones they let go are from NXT not unless more wrestlers have been released from their contract and signed up to AEW and nothing been said, Mark the presenter of Kayfabe news hosts What Cultre Wrestling aswell you be best taking this news with a punch of salt.

Did wonder how long it would take AEW to get Bray Wyatt to sign up.

Makes you wonder if Vince is just firing everyone in the hope that AEw will waste money and be in the same boat as Wcw with all those expensive contracts

Thats true but for WCW's downfall was a blaming game, Eric Bischoff blamed himself, Hulk Hogan and Vince Russi blamed each other which resulted in a lawsuit that Hulk Hogan and WCW lost and no money was paid out. But I think AEW has more strong audience than what WWE has.
