Rumour has it... the 2023 Day One Premium Live Event (PLE) has been canceled

If this is true, it would mean that there are not going to be any PPV events between 'Survivor Series: WarGames' on November 26 and the 'Royal Rumble' on January 28

Hogan must have gone to the Gene Simmons school of Marketing - if you can put your name on something and make money out of it, do it!

Ava Raine has just joined the NXT wing of the WWE

Nothing unusual about that, you might think, but her real name is Simone Johnson and she is the daughter of Dwayne Johnson

By my reckoning, she is the first 4th generation wrestler within the WWE following in the footsteps of her father (The Rock), her grandfather (Rocky Johnson) and her great-grandfather (high chief Peter Maivia

Mankind Halloween costume

"Oh, Man!

We love nicknames. We, for example, call our office janitor "Mr. Clean," "Soapy Shelly," and "The Bleached One," depending on the day, of course. But that's neither here nor there. When our favorite wrestlers take on more than one moniker, we get psyched. Mick Foley, AKA Cactus Jack, AKA Dude Love is one of the best wrestlers of all time; that fact can't be debated. However, WWE fans can easily argue over which one of Mick's personas is the most outrageous. Mankind is definitely our pick for crowd favorite!

Product Details

If you want to impersonate the WWE's most mentally deranged (and most accomplished) wrestler, you will need the deranged mask, quirky sock puppet, and cut-off shirt -- there's just no negotiating on those pieces. You'll look prepared to race into the ring for a Boiler Room Brawl match when you're outfitted in this officially licensed Plus Size Adult WWE Mankind Costume to conceal your identity. Best of all, it's part of our Made By Us collection, hand-made with care by our in-house designers, so you can have all the confidence in the world in the quality of the costume. In it, you'll love meeting eye-to-eye with a wrestling fan and saying have a nice day!

WWExciting

Inspired by the genius of Frankenstein and the tortured music of Tori Amos, a sock-puppet-wearing maniac emerged from the shadows. Mankind, whose persona focused around Foley speaking to a rat named George and living in a boiler room, easily became one of the top contenders for the heavyweight championship. With finishing moves like the double underhook DDT, it's no surprise why he was feared in the ring. As far as backstories go, you can't really do better than the WWE did with Mankind."

Bash At The Beach in 2000, Hogan pins Jeff Jarrett, this was Hogan's last appearance in WCW.

Double J was WCW champion, before any wrestlers came out Vince Russo came out first, leaving commentators baffled why he was heading to the ring. Hogan comes out and speaks a bit of trash talk, Double J comes out, in the ring Double J lays n the mat while Russo holds up the belt and throws it in the ring.
Hogan Grabs a mic and says "Is this your deal Russo? That's why this damn company is in the damn shape it is because of bull shit like this" and Hogan pins Double J and gets the 3 count.

A lot of people thought this was real, but it's been said that WCW were trying to run out their time slot by stalling and taking their time everyone was in on it. John Laurenitis contacted Hogan before the match and said that Russo wanted Jeff to win at the PPV, Hogan refused to loose using his creative control clause in his contract. Russo, Hogan and Eric Bischoff came up with the finish that happened. Russo was going to blurr the line between fiction and reality with Hogan's contract.

What nobody knew was that Russo was going to head to the ring after the match and cut a promo directly at Hogan. Russo said

Since coming to WCW he has had to deal with the politics that go on in the WCW locker room and he was very close to leaving but stayed for the guys who cared about the company. But one guy who doesn't care about WCW is Hulk Hogan, he has had to deal with Hulk Hogan's politics all day and he wants and wants to play his creative control card and that meant beating Jeff Jarrett in the ring, even though that was the wrong thing to do.

After this Hogan and WCW ended up going to court, WCW tried to sue Hogan for breach of contract and Hogan tried to sue the company for the Russo promo. Both cases were thrown out.

The results from the 2022 Crown Jewel Pay Per View, held at the Mrsool Park in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia were:

SPOILER:
  • The opening singles match saw Brock Lesnar defeat Bobby Lashley via pinfall
  • The Women's tag team championship match ended with Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) defeating Alexa Bliss and Asuka to win the title
  • A steel cage match ended when Drew McIntyre defeated Karrion Kross by escaping the cage
  • In a six-man tag team match, Judgement Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio) defeated The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) when Rhea Ripley attacking AJ ringside, allowing Finn Balor to land a shotgun dropkick and Coup de Grace for the victory
  • In a singles match, Braun Strowman defeated Omos via pinfall
  • In the Undisputed tag team championship match, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) defeated vs. The Brawling Brutes (Butch and Ridge Holland) to retain the championship
  • A lot of weapons [but obviously no blood] were used in the Last Woman Standing match for the WWE Raw Women's Championship which saw champion Bianca Belair defeat Bayley in order to retain the title
  • The final match of the evening for the Undisputed WWE universal championship saw champion Roman Reigns extend his... um... reign by defeating Logan Paul. Although he is primarily known as a 'social media personality' [he's only been with the WWE since April 2021], this match is being described as the greatest celebrity crossover match in pro-wrestling history

The next WWE PPV is due to be the Survivor Series: War Games event, to be held at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on November 26

30 years ago at Survivor Series Undertaker vs Kamala in a casket match, which became the first match for Undertaker to use the coffin in his career.

This was not the first casket match in pro wrestling.

Dusty Rhodes and Ivan Koloff in 1980.
