Bottom (TV Series 1991–1995)
Been watching series one,2nd episode has the late great Brian Glover as Mr.Rottweiller, stupid, brilliant and mental all rolled into one. Richie and Eddie are visited by the Gasman to read their meter, which is illegally connected to their next door neighbor Mr. Rottwhiler's gas supply. When Richie and Eddie pretend that they don't use gas and do not know what Gas is and accidentally kills the Gasman. Richie and Eddie set out to disconnect their illegal connection from Mr. Rottwhiler's flat, before they get into trouble with the Gas Board. Last edited by VicDakin; 24th November 2011 at 06:37 PM. |

Mr. Jolly Lives Next Door
My fav from the Comic strip presents,Nicholas Parsons and Peter Cook, what more could you want............... A couple of bored escorts find themselves suddenly involved with a hit-gang and an ax-murderer - Mr. Jolly. Gratuitous violence, rivers of blood and maximum hilarity, all rolled into one. |

All superb really. I think my preference is 4,3,2,1. The last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth always brings a lump to my throat. |

"Steptoe and Son" The Desperate Hours (1972)
The Desperate Hours. One of my alltime fav sitcoms, very few shows can combine pathos.laughter ,sadness and social commentry, this episode has Leonard Rossiter guest starring as an escaped criminal, ive watched this episode alot and its still great. It's a cold winter day and the Steptoes are reduced to putting pfennigs in the meter. They are visited by two escaped convicts, elderly Frank and the younger Johnny. When Johnny denounces Frank as introducing him to crime and ruining his life,Harold sympathises and says that Albert has always held him back. Frank defends Albert, telling Harold to respect his father. When the two finally leave, having given Harold their last shilling for the meter, Johnny agrees to let Frank go with him, just as Harold has always allowed himself to return to Albert. Steptoe and Son feel sad that their visitors have gone. Last edited by VicDakin; 25th November 2011 at 05:04 PM. |

Dish and Dishonesty. Started on the 3rd series, great opener with Hugh Laurie stealing the show as the offish prince regent. Blackadder enters politics in an attempt to avoid Pitt the Younger from striking the Prince off the Civil List. |
