Busy Bodies
Appearing on dvd no 14 in the set,Busy Bodies alongside The Music Box has to be one of there most famous shorts,Olly gets hit in the face with a plank,Olly getting his hands stuck in the window frame,Olly getting a paint brush stuck to his face then getting it shaved off with a plane,Olly getting sent thru a watershute shaft and then finally having there car cut in halve with a large bandsaw,I think they managed to crow bar quite afew iconic moments than was humanly possible although most of them im sure were pretty well worn stunts used throughout the silent comedy and slapstick era.
Olly seems to get most of the laughs in this film,with Stan mainly doleing out the pain.The only cast members of merit in this are Charlie Hall and Tiny Sandford.
Although Busy Bodies is good it lacks something,probably not enough dialogue for me,and could of easily been a silent era film.

Ollie: Would you mind opening the window?

[watching in disgust as Stan goes and opens the shop window behind him]

Ollie: Not THAT window - THIS window!

[seeing Stan pull out a large sheet of heavy paper and study it carefully]

Ollie: What are you doing?

Stan: Well, I was looking at the blueprint to try to figure out how to open the window.

Ollie: Why, that's a blueprint of the BOULDER DAM!

The look on Olly's face is priceless

One of my fav shorts, Sam Adams as Jessup, the butler is so dry and has a some great lines to infuriate Olly with.

Oliver: Where's the fireplace?

Jessup: In that room. You'll find it standing against the wall.

Lucien Littlefield as Professor Noodle if ever a name was apt this was it,just a bonkers for no reason character,other than it gives the story its finale,and who else but Professor Noodle would come up with such an experiment.

Dirty Work (1933)

Professor Noodle: [unaware that Jessup is in another part of the house, taking a huge soapy bath to wash off the ashes] Jessup! Jessup!

[coming across Stan and Ollie who are busy sweeping up after cleaning the chimney]

Professor Noodle: Where is Jessup?

Oliver: Jessup? Oh, about 35 miles southwest of Augusta, Georgia.

Professor Noodle: No, no, no - - I mean my butler!

Dirty Work may have one of the best ending's ever comitted to film,a chimp in a bowler hat.

Stan: [staring at the chimpanzee that has appeared over the edge of the tank and is gazing silently back at him] Ollie - don't you know me? Won't you speak to me?

Oliver: I have nothing to say.
