They revamped the premise taking it off earth and placing Buck, Wilma and Twiki on board a spaceship on a mission.

It just turned into another sci-fi series, almost a Star Trek clone with poor scripts, although one or two episodes are alright i sold my copy soon after watching it.

Anyway here's the real reason to watch Buck Rogers.

Sounds good. I like the religious aspect to it, with the surviving humans being the tribes of Israel searching for the promised land.
