I watch 'The Hotel' on Ch4 on a Sunday evening

It's a reality documentary about Mark Jenkins, who is a failed hotel owner who is now working as an entertainments manager at a different hotel

Mark is an idealist and optimist, in a pessimistic world, blind to the chaos around him that he is causing

Think 'a real life "Fawlty Towers"!

Sadly, because of the way my pub is going, I can relate to a lot of things that happen to him - thinking up good ways to help the business, but being met by problems, solid walls and knockbacks at each opportunity

BANSHEE.

Gave this a whirl last night. Was a random xmas eve drunken buy. Turns out to be rather good. Basically, a recently released con heads to the town of Banshee to look up his girl and the diamonds they stole. Finding her happily married with kids, he goes to a local bar to have some whiskey and ends up foiling a robbery. In the process the new sheriff gets killed so the con assumes his identity and becomes town sheriff.
Banshee is a flat out, sex and violence fuelled action-noir with a great plot, gratuitous sex and violence and some great action scenes and well directed episodes. Highly recommended.

Banshee is great. Sort of like the exploitation version of Twin Peaks.

Unashamedly childish, and all the better for it. I love Banshee.

I watched most of series 1 in one sitting last evening. It's very more-ish.

I'm watching in 'real time' and it's in its third season. It doesn't let up at all, in fact it gets even more absurd.

One of the best shows currently airing.

Tales of the Unexpected - The Flypaper.

The tale of a frightened school girl who is being stalked by a strange man, but no one will listen to her.

A seriously down beat story with an ending they possibly wouldn't get away with in today's social climate.

Tales of the Unexpected - Proof of Guilt.

A man locked in a room, alone with a shot dead man. The man confesses to nothing and the police can't prove he did it without the gun as evidence.

The polar opposite of The Flypaper. Quirky and fun with a twist ending that perhaps you could work out if you pay very close attention.

Watched the Frankenstein from the Mystery & Imagination set.
Faithfullish in a budgetary restrained kinda way. The original Bilbo Baggins plays both parts. Had never really noticed how emo this story is...must reread it after The Golem methinks!!!
