Agreed. They've certainly set it up for a second series, however due to the 'shift' in characters, I'm not sure if it's a series I'll want to see. Plus, a lot of its charm for me was in the mystery aspect too, which has now of course disappeared.

Apparently all the source material has been covered in the first series so another series would be an original storyline.

There is only one word to describe the final episode of Wayward Pines......SHIT. Completely changing the ending from the books just ruined it imo.

from the team that bought the frankly incredible BACCANO! Comes this little beauty ltd to 3000 copies. (which I had no idea of when I ordered it.) It features the same, clever non-linear story telling that plays with structure in some interesting ways and is set in Ikebukuro as various characters lives intersect in interesting ways. Also mixes in supernatural elements as well, much like Baccano and even has cameos from two of the characters from that show so plays much like a spiritual successor to that show. Even if Anime isn't your thing these shows are well worth seeking out.
As I thought Baccano was one of the greatest animated TV shows I'd ever seen (and something I really need to re-watch), I've added this to my Lovefilm rental queue at high priority, so many thanks for the recommendation.

Just finished wayward pines and have to agree it went downhill the last few episodes as much as I enjoyed the whole mystery part as usual with programs like this in soon wears thin ,granted it should of last a bit longer but I would rather have that than shows that drag it on season after season.

Still move enjoyable than a lot of other shows out. Will give the second season a chance if their is one, have a feeling the makers of the shows must be fans of game of thrones, with the amount of main characters killed off. Can see the next season having a creepy children of the corn vibe to it

Stephen how did the books end?

The first series of Whitechapel is excellent isn't it.

It's the only one i saw as opinion suggests the second series wasn't up to much however the third was a great improvement.

I'm coming to the end of the first season of The Strain, which I'm enjoying very much, and will buy on Blu-ray, so was looking for something to watch next. Because I have Amazon Instant Video, and the first two seasons of Whitechapel are available free on there, it looks like that will be next on my TV schedule.

I've been debating Whitechapel for a while. Found all four series on NowTV last night. Only had time for the first episode but i liked it a lot.

Whitechapel's great, though I thought the fourth season was veering toward shark jumping territory.
