Drum roll

Take a deep breath.......

Now.

Head Back To TWIN PEAKS With First Teaser

It's Official: TWIN PEAKS Returns In 2016

It's happening again ...

It was just days ago that speculation over a return of cult classic television series Twin Peaks ran rampant after co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost simultaneously tweeted a (not so) cryptic message quoting a line from the original series. And now it's official.

Twin Peaks is returning with a new, nine episode run on Showtime in 2016 with all episodes penned by Lynch and Frost with Lynch to direct all nine himself throughout 2015. The timing here is significant for fans as the return occurs in real time as Special Agent Dale Cooper's (Kyle MacLachlan) promised / prophesied emergence from the Black Lodge draws near. Which means, among other things, that this is a direct continuation of the original story as opposed to any sort of sequel or new tale.

Lynch and Frost are not yet saying who of the original cast will return, hinting only that they'd like as many as possible back

That's certainly going to be something to see.

Rewatching the first season of The Returned in preparation for the new season (which is out on Blu in the UK next month and I intend to import). Still excellent.

Children of the Stones (1977)

One of the landmark series in children's television. Children of the Stones is a groundbreaking and complex drama that combines scientific fact, rural folklore and pagan mythology in it's depiction of a small English village held by the power of ancient neolithic stone circles.

This is a gripping drama from the off with a fine cast including Gareth Thomas, Iain Cuthbertson, Freddie Jones and John Woodnutt. The real life setting at Avebury in Wiltshire is inspired as is the unsettling musical score. All these elements together with an accomplished and challenging script make for a superbly disturbing drama series that goes far beyond mere children's television.

Highly recommended...Seriously, this really is highly recommended.

Happy Day to you all!
