I actually think the first two seasons of Better Call Saul are on par with the first couple of Breaking Bad, its just that the latter kept improving. If Better Call Saul follows suit it could be something special.

I've recently finished Season 1 of Mr Robot which I would recommend highly. It starts off with a bang and still keeps some surprises for later episodes in the series. Admittedly it does falter a little bit for a couple of episodes but saying that we're talking a drop to 7/10 so it's still great!

It's on Amazon prime videos for those who have access, but it's also just come out on dvd/bd as well.

I can't wait for season 2 which starts mid July.

I flipped a coin last night between that and another Network series, 1974's Zodiac.

Zodiac came out the winner though Quatermass will be next.

Zodiac after just the first episode seems like a really good series. Starring Anton Rodgers as a police DI and Anouska Hempel as an astrologer who solve crimes. The first episode was only really a character introductory piece but already Rodgers and the gorgeous Hempel have proper chemistry together and i look forward to the second episode tonight.

It's sort of a crime procedural affair mixed with the age of Aquarius in a witty culture clash of crime and the mystical.

Interestingly Hempel's character is called Esther. Rogers is probably most famous for his role in long running sitcom Fresh (French) Fields where his wife as played by Julia Mackenzie was called Hester. Perhaps Rodgers has trouble recalling character names or something.

It sounds pretty good - I may have to pick it up in the next Network sale.

It wasn't expensive, about £6.50. At least that's what 40% off the current price is anyway.

Watched the first couple of episodes of Death of an Expert Witness, the first PD James Adam Dalgliesh mini-series from the early 80s. Really good. Great British cast, Roy Marsden in the lead role of course, but also the likes of Geoffrey Palmer, Barry Foster, Brenda Blethyn... Classic stuff.

By Zodiac episode two detective David Gradley (Anton Rodgers) and astrologer Esther Jones (Anouska Hempel) seem to be a team, and for the viewer a match made in heaven with their sparkling dialogue which had many laugh out loud moments

Esther - They were married last week.

David - Were they?

Esther - It was in all the papers.

David - (mumbling to himself) Wasn't in the sports pages.

In an episode featuring guest turns from Michael Gambon, George Baker and Bill Maynard, it's a series that keeps me wanting more.

Looks like 'Family Feud' could become essential viewing!!

Question: Instead of a thermometer, what might a nurse stick in an annoying patients behind?

Answer #3: A fist
Answer #4: Pencil
Answer #8: Cork

What a bizarre question. The only two things I can think of were a needle and a suppository/enema. Maybe a finger under the guise of an essential rectal examination.
