Since I acquired Twin Peaks for £10 from Tesco, that's what I have been watching....yes, the second series wavers severely, but it is still the greatest "ending" to any TV show ever. Screw the Sopranos/Lost/Breaking Bad/The Wire......and FIRE walk with me
Taking a wee break at episode 23. Lawdy. Greatest soap opera ever??

Should with a bit of luck be able to watch the final 3 episodes of the first season of Grey's Anatomy tonight.

Although i enjoy it, i sit there experiencing the anguish of the patients which is a bit annoying. Everything they have i feel coming on. I'm not sure i can continue this for another 12 series so i'll be leaving it at that.

The Hypercondriac in me has spoken!

Started the first season of Elementary. Quite good so far. It's pretty divorced from 'real' Sherlock Holmes but it's a fun detective show with an amusingly quirky lead (even if he does seem more House than Holmes).

The remastered picture is brilliant and there is no sign of any of the moiré on such things as Basil's checked jacket and the main flaw on the earlier release.
Having finished Fawlty Towers, where the only downside to the picture was the occasional 'smearing' from bright lights or candles during a dark scene, I moved onto the remastered Blackadder boxset and am currently halfway through Blackadder Goes Forth. The picture quality is the same as the Fawlty Towers set (i.e. generally very good apart from when there are bright lights or flames). The first series is easily the weakest, but still really good, with the other three cemented its place as one of Britain's finest pieces of comedy television.

Agreed. More often than not I even skip over the first season and go straight to the second whenever I revisit my box set. It's definitely one of my favourite comedy shows though overall.

My order of preference is series 2, then 4, then 3, and then 1.
