What the hell did I just watch this is not the Sherlock we know and love, it comes of as a poor mans James bond, it all just seems off and a totally different program. The writers seem so far up there own arses they I'm surprised they didn't suffocate.
A poor man's James Bond? Explain.

The whole last episode it felt more Bond then Sherlock all for shows trying something a little different but don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

The weakest of all the seasons as I said it just didn't feel like sherlock most of the time.

It didn't to me. It was a mess but it never remotely felt like Bond.

I enjoyed the first two episodes. Thought Toby Jones was excellent as the villain in the second and the way the partnership of Holmes and Watson deteriorated in the first was well done. Also i loved Mark Gatiss as Mycroft. Glad his role was more prominent throughout. His interplay with Sherlock was priceless.

I also thought it was the weakest season, but quite liked what they did with the last episode, which felt a little like one of the Saw films.

Yes that's a better example for comparison.

Love the show one of my favorites of last year, but it really helps if you are into 80s horror/SciFi, King and Lovecraft. If you like one or all you won't be disappointed.
