Watched the first episode of Lexx which I've not seen before, really enjoyed it unique and quite unlike any other sci-fi show I've seen.

One minute it's slapstick type comedy and the next it's very dark .

Railways of the Great War. A Michael Portillo presented series about how the railways played a part in the Great War both at home and in northern Europe. In no way am i a rail enthusiast, i don't know when the last time was i traveled by train, but i find Portillo's series eminently watchable and he an engaging host, and this is no different. In fact it's quite fascinating how a British invention that brought trade travel and prosperity in peace time became an engine of war. |
