![]() Season One. Pilot Dr. Joel Fleischman arrives in Alaska and is told that he will not be working in the big city hospital he was expecting but will be the doctor of the small town of Cicely. Where he meets its odd ball characters Maurice a ex astronaut whom wants to turn the town into a successful city. Chris the town's local disc jockey , artist and philosopher Holling the owner of the local bar who used to be Maurice best friend Shelley a young beauty pageant winner and the reason Maurice and Holling don't speak. Ed a young native American who loves movies but is not very bright. Finally we have Maggie who hated Joel on site , Joel himself isn't too keen on her. But everyone else can see they are attracted too each other, even if they can't see it themselves. Brains, Know-How & Native Intelligence Ed asks Joel too see his uncle the local medicine man, Chris upsets Maurice after speaking of walt Whitmans sexuality on air and reading some of his poetry, he takes over the radio station which upsets the townsfolk no end with the constant playing of show tunes. Soapy Sanderson When Soapy Sanderson dies he leaves his land too Joel and Maggie, Maggie wants to use it for a nature reserve while Joel wants to sell the land to get out of his contract. Dreams, Schemes and Putting Greens Shelley is diagnosed pregnant, Maurice brings in some investors for Japan and Joel builds a golf course. The Russian Flu Joels finance comes to visit but the whole town comes down with the flu. Leading the townsfolk to turn on Joel. Sex, Lies and Ed’s Tapes Shelleys ex turns up Maggie thinks her curse has struck again ( every man she has been with has died) . We also have a Easter egg to Twin peaks with waterfall opening scene. A Kodiak Moment Maurice receives word that his brother has died ,with no other relatives this leads him to making Chris his "adoptive son" to continue his legacy. Holling goes hunting the bear that nearly killed him. Aurora Borealis: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups Chris is building a sculpture he calls the aurora borealis, a young man enters the town which he finds himself strangely drawing too and becomes friends with Chris , they learn they share the Sam father. Joel learns of the legend of Adam which is believed to be a Bigfoot type creature. When Joel's truck breaks town one night he finds Adam who is not a monster but a man, Adam is played by Adam Arkin. Still Game: Season 5. Drama: The Bookies is open, Winston believes the new owner Frankie is actually Stevie who done a runner (Cairds episode) and plans to expose him. Jack and Victor head to a whiskey distillery for a day out. Fresh Lick: Isa decides to let Jack and Victor decorate her house which doesn't go well, a Porno tape of Boaby is found by Tam which makes it's way round the scheme. Smoke on the water: Victor's 75th is coming up, Jack decides to get a sail boat and go on the river Kelvin and run into a group of neds. Hard Nuts: The Clansman is offered to take part in a TV show Blighty's hardest boozers, can the old ones pull it off being tough and Navid decides to have a bit of a laugh. All The Best: Winston decides he has had enough of Crailang and moves to the coast Finport. Jack and Victor decide to go on a stag night with Fergie and the groom doesn't show up for the wedding, Jack and Victor were the last to see Fergie. Saucy: Jack and Victor decide to go to Finport to see Winston, Francis sister Molly comes to visit and her tight fist with money gets Tam harder than a crossword.

Still Game: Season 6. Hot Seat: Craiglang are experiencing a heat wave, Jack and Victor try to get the best seat in the park but Tam and Winston seem to get there first. Isa's husband Harry has died and is encouraged to seek more male companionship. Fly Society: Tam wins a competition but passes on the tickets to the theater to Jack and Victor who meet two women and claim to be rich and are invited for a night away. Lights Out: Craiglang is in the midst of a power cut and everyone is on edge, Shug believes these are brutal times. Seconds Out: Boxer Jim Watt opens a gym in the area and a new takeaway shop opens, Stevie and Boabby try to win her affections. Winston takes on a delivery job for the takeaway shop, Jack and Winston try to get a free pizza. Hyper: New store Hyperdales has opened crushing Navid's business, Tam seems to be parting ways with his money with a smile on his face. Recipe: Pete the Jakey has cleaned up his act and sober, believes he invented the Beefy Bake sold by a popular food chain, Jack and Victor act as his solicitor's in order for Pete to get recognition. Frances is at her wits end with Tam being tight fisted. One In One Out. Frances is declared Britain's oldest mum at 64, Tam sees potential with offers coming in to promote baby products. Jack has a turn for the worst with his health and has to get major surgery and believes in the saying One in and one out.

Still Game: Season 7. Gadgets: The residents seem to buy new stuff from a magazine but unfortunately Jack ends up stuck in a bath. The Undrinkables: Pete the Jakey has passed away, and we are introduced to Methadone Mickey, there is a new drink hitting the scheme with a serious side effect but no one knows where it's coming from. Job: Methadone Mick is going for a job, Winston receives a letter about a parking fine that was ignored and Boabby is up for a ward for looking after Pete. Small Change: After a year of marriage to Sinead, Fergie starts to doubt stuff and goes to Jack and Victor for advice. Navid and Boabby have a competition on who has the cushiest job. Heavy Petting: Jack and Victor decide to be dog sitters and Isa manages to get the scheme talking about it, while she is in a bake off with Peggy. Down and Out: Local Councillor is demolishing the high rises, Osprey Heights is next so the locals are enticed to a care home temporary which makes them feel they are in the film One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Yeah, I can sort of see why there's a bit of fizzle about this 5th episode ![]() If we are halfway through, flip knows where this is going. Now, for a change of pace, 70s schoolkids methinks ![]() ![]() Oh! Sticking this anecdote here as tis fitting. I get dvds to sort every 3 days nowadays, and this little oddity was thrust into my claws today .... A M&S special 2 disc set of The Professionals! ![]() ![]() 8 selected episodes (some belters to boot, though no Klansman hahaha) and says they are the remastered ones. Tis sealed and all. An oddity.

![]() I've recorded the first episode and have set my cable box to record the other two so I can watch them in one sitting and the ability to scan through the adverts. I have high expectations based on the trailer and because David Tennant, Jason Watkins, and Daniel Mays are all fantastic actors.
